Sucky - you need a dremel if you don't have one already. I've removed pilot bearings and several other press fit things against surfaces which need to be saved.

They come with things you could basically erase that burr with.

I wouldn’t worry about the nick. If it really bothers you JB weld then sand it smooth to the rest of the bore.

I thought a Dremel but was worried about taking too much meat off the already thin sleeve.. i kinda thought if I used sandpaper to take the edge off I'd be okay

Use grinding bits to just get enough of it thin to where you could lightly "chisel" it with a brass drift.

@Abeyancer are you cutting the red "sleeve" out? If you don't need it and only need the green tube smooth for the new bushing, use the grinding bits down the orange dotted line where you already cut. Then you get the inner (red) sleeve paper thin along the orange line so as to not nick the outer green sleeve and whack it with a drift.

Looks great! How much into it did you end up at after all the work? I'm sure it's still ridiculously cheap.

I'd pay another $78k to put a manual in it for no reason other than it's fun to drive with two feet when one of them isn't on the brake.

My buddy had one of the first Hellcat Challengers that came in, in manual, and that transmission just didn't mate well with the motor.

Came from the Viper that's tied to an 8.4 V10

Anyway, going with a manual is actually cheaper.

Bummer - respect Dodge for putting buck wild hp out in factory vehicles.

Viper now we're talking - saw a GTS coupe circa 1998 on a family trip to SC. No one had stuff like that in the cold and lonely state I lived in. Blew my frikin' mind. Never plan on buying one ever, still that or a similar era convertible with a removable hardtop would be the ridiculously overpowered dream for me for sure.

[IMG] Opened the last trailer on the property. I see one thing of value. All the boxes are full of ceramics possibly vintage
