...and you constantly have headphones on...

..and you can bring yourself to spend this much on headphones.

These are the BEST headphones i have ever used in my entire life. worth every single penny. i have had the Monster Turbines, Dre beats solo, studio, and now these. and these are the trump card for all things sound.

I agree that quality headphones are paramount but many people who listen via portable MP3 players usually shoot themselves in the foot when they rip their CD's into their collection. If your player supports FLAC I'd suggest that you seriously consider that file format over MP3. Myself, I use a pair of Ultimate Ears, in ear heaphones that I got through a music industry contact. Had to make a mold of the inside of my outer ear as each pair is custom made. It may sound crazy but there are multiple speakers in each ear bud. From what I understand they are not inexpensive but they sound phenomenal. And the best part is my wife can't steal them and use them like she always did with the Sennheisers.

Ill have to give them a listen...pretty much dead set on some denon d2000s though. I have to agree that the ultimate ears are pretty awesome. I have the triplefi and combined with my sflo2, I can't complain.

I had a friend I graduated with who was all about headphones. He swears by a set of etymotics with molds made for his ears. On top of that, he listens to uncompressed audio on the ipod, and wasn't happy enough so he built his own equalizer as well.

I can get crazy, but luckily I realize I bust too many headphone cords so I'm happy enough with a set of these for computer use. It's hard to find something that sounds OK and has a mic, and the plantronics just don't feel right.

Those head phones are IMO for some one that has a job in the music industry not some average joe that just likes music.

I hope so or at least a reach around. I have two pairs of Bose in ear and the noise camcelling they were 100-135 apiece and sound great on my iPod. I can't justify much more than that. I am praying Bluetooth technology or some other wireless technology gets better for headphones, as I hate cords. I have the Motorola s90 hd bluetooth headphones that I wear for working out, but the technology is just not quite there yet. They could be a little louder, and they cut in and out every once in awhile. Pretty good for 75 but could be better.
