I am exhausted. Have been putting my classes into Canvas. Just starting to develop an online curriculum for things I have done for years. If the district would get out of our way with the paperwork/accountability bullshit and let us do our fucking jobs, I may be able to sleep a bit better.

not on topic (for the thread) but we’re on google classroom and using zoom for synchronous lessons. I also make short videos as references for kiddos. 8th grade math. Little by little!

i hope you get some rest this weekend!!

I know we have the other plans in NH and such but does anyone want to plan a wheeling event for the last weekend in September for RI? Get a good run in before Robs toys for tots run which I hope we will make even bigger this year!

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
Middle school reading teacher here. Hybrid district. I have four unique cohorts of kids in some sections (M/TH, T/F, all online, and all in person) and the mental juggling of everything has my brain turned to jello. At this point fully remote sounds like a dream.

    Very jealous.

But if they did that, how would they justify their jobs?

Just finished end of week 2, 4 days in person. Soon I’ll have my social distancing, mask wearing, over hand sanitizer Policing badge. 2 biggest issues I have with returning, first every one has a different interpretation of the guidelines and I’ve seen kids be told to use hand sanitizer WAY TOO MUCH!!! Seriously, day 1 a teacher took a kid on a tour and used hand sanitizer 6 times in under 40 minutes. Most of the time we were walking outside or down the middle of a hall way. Another day, students were leaving the outside PE area, were required to use hand sanitizer as they left, walked about 4 maybe 5 truck lengths through the middle of the parking lot where the teacher made them use more hand sanitizer before entering the building. I don’t even want to talk about the 3 and 6 feet apart interpretations.

and now the icing, I have 2 kiddos with me for in person, and currently 1 that joins us for half the day virtual. Rumor has it that I have another virtual starting Monday and all my tech stuff is on back order.

When is this ENH run?

We're also a hybrid district, 2 cohorts, M, T, wed off for cleaning then a Th, F. It's been a challenge because I chose to run my classes synchronous. So I'm feeling my way through the technology and getting used to teaching to both students in person and at home at the same time.

It has been almost two years since i've been on a group outing. It's gotten to the point that my wife has asked if i'm still on here because we haven't done anything. Having a kid complicates things when it comes to A. finding the time and B. finding a family friendly event.
I need to get the tacoma sorted and get back into the trails for a little outdoor R&R.

Bring the giblet(s). Once they're head stops being so floppy, around 1 year or so they're good to go.

Dude I was just thinking of that winter trip we did back in 2018 with @m603holden and @Bruce988jl this weekend. I was up on that loop we did before we stopped for lunch. The one I may or may not have gotten stuck on.. That thing has overgrown a ton, but it was making me think that we need to do another trip at some point!

Stop being so floppy...I got a good chuckle outta that. We are in the process of moving from fostering to adopting so leaving further than 40 miles from home requires certain levels of approval.
Once she's all ours (fingers crossed), should open up a little availability.
That was one of the most memorable things i've done since moving out here. My friend and I are planning a grouse hunting trip up there early next year.

Nice congrats. I've been bringing my giblets since they were about 1.5-2. My wife doesn't come though, so a little older is better since i'm solo.

Then we’d never see you guys! I only saw you at camp last trip, all I saw in my rear view was dust.

Besides I don’t mind more time out, Also it’s almost double the distance as the tnh and tvt routes
