glad you guys with the skewp arent experiencing the glare I did. I actually like it, just wanted the OP to know it may affect him. If I was choosing, I would choose the sport over the OR to get the painted fender flares, to avoid the black ones. Sounds like his off roading will be minimal, so the sport will do him just fine.

I have a Sport and will buy the offroad next time. I like the colored fenders but the ride is better in the offroad vs. the Sport. The skewp is non-functional so why have it? Both have their finer points. JMO.

But both trucks cost exactly the same amount, how could you save money by having to add an air locker?

He is saying the air lockers cost less than the hood with the scoop. I believe...

Out here in the Sonoran I haven't come across the situation where the rear locker would really come in handy. I am not saying I would not like to have one onboard for a given adventure. I would love to have a front locker. Mostly I like a buddy in another 4X4 and some basic recovery tools.

Sorry, I'm all for buy what you like...

BUT..."The fake hood scoop breaks necks every single day..."

Yeah, sorry to break anyone's bubble...but its a tacoma. Toyota sells TONS of them, no one is "breaking their neck" to look at your scoop or ANY tacoma for that matter.

A buddy of mine bought the new Rav 4. Had heated wheel on while I was test driving it in the snow...still hate him for it.

I'm confused by this. You have a lot of mountains, but never use 4 low? I imagine your terrain is quick rocky, loose, and rutted out just like colorado.

Ahh, I've found there are two kind of people. 4 high and send it, only putting into 4 low when you really need it. Then there's the 4 low and controlled crowd.

I'm more of the latter, I can't afford to send it up the trail and break something at stock height lol

Whatever works works! I only use 4 high on easy dirt roads. Once it gets any kind of technical I'm usually in 4 low even if i don't "NEED" it, I feel it just makes it easier/less stressed etc. Plus if it gets really jarring I usually flip on MTS just for the throttle smoothing

Edit: I also have something around 500 lbs of permanent crap strapped to the truck. If I'm wheeling maybe another 100 lbs in recovery and crap...if I'm also camping maybe another 100 lbs of camp gear.
