I take it that everyone's turbo projects are working flawlessly? Been quiet in here.

 

Waiting for shipment... but I started working on fitting my gauges to steering wheel mount. I had to grind it down since the bezel wouldn’t clear. Want to at least get gauges mounted and working befor TT kit comes in.

 

Mine running good. Should work on the front suspension a bit, but the motor pretty happy.

The car though I'm getting tuning ideas again.

 

Had to do the same to a friend's setup. Won't be too long for you. Which options did you get on your kit?

 

Been looking at tuning and turbo goodies for my Bimmer as well. What are you formulating?

 

Ended up with Powermax, No cats. Fuel pump , Lexus DI’s and controller upgrade.

I’m thinking of doing an external fuel filter mod like the URD kit but can’t remember what I needed. I’ll have to pull up the thread.

 

Does your kit come with the intercooler as well?

 

Yea it does. I didn’t feel like fabricating a way to mount it behind the grill. But who knows. I might change it to a 4” thick core later.

Plan is to eventually run water/meth with it. Considering it’s DI, I’m sure it’ll help keep carbon build up to a minimum.

 

I had an intake on my wrx and didn't like the sound. I think I might just try some e85 in it since it high compression direct injected. My 91 fuel is crap.

 

In turbo news. Garrett motion might fill for bankruptcy in a few weeks.

 

Yea I Saw that today on the stock market.

Yeah my local shell station has it. It be easier than doing the typical bolt on parts. Just by looking at the fuel and timing tables you can tell there is room to grow if i had better fuel. Guys be picking up 80-100 whp and wtq by switching fuel


I never ran the truck on it because sometimes the gas will sit in the tank for a while.

 

Doesn't Sta-bil have an E85 formula?

 

I could run a fuel stabilizer. I never looked into it with the truck since I still have room to add boost on pump gas. I forgot if I get dual timing maps. One for e85 and another for pump.

I’d probably run out of injector, lol.

 

Do you even 5th injector bro? 25% more right away... Wait can you run an even larger 5th injector? I feel like that is an easy work around if you are injector restricted... Mapecu3 does 5th injector stuff too right?

 

Mapecu does it all. It just that I won't see that great of gains from my truck right now on e85. I forgot about doing a 5th injector. Good idea. I'm not even running the turbo that hard yet. Still working on my 15 psi tune. I have a solid 10 psi tune that's pretty wild on dirt. Just curious how it can shift from an aggressive e85 tune to a mellow pump gas tune. I take the truck to a lot of places where e85 is hard to find.

 

Good over here, she's a ripper. Lots of other things going on with the truck. 35's went on and regeared to 4.56, amazing. Freshened up the front suspension pivots, also picked up heimed uppers and a new set of coil overs (those still need to go on, soon). Need to put the fmic on, before the larger tires bite the side mount. Also did Stoptech rotors and Ebc yellow stuff pads for more bite, super awesome .
