Opinion on TRQ / 1A Auto Parts

I need a new front-right wheel bearing and I saw this great deal from TRQ / 1A Auto for both sides. I figured it wouldn't hurt to replace both as the same time. But is this TOO GOOD of a deal?

Is TRQ from 1A Auto a trusted, high quality brand (OEM or better)? Their DIY youtube videos are super helpful!

If not, what's the best to use for front hubs/bearings? OEM?

I’m not too sure on the brand of the bearing.. but my tow mirrors on my tacoma came from 1aauto. w
When one of the motors died they stood behind there warranty, when I called in I got to speak to an actual person and they were very easy to work with. They had me a replacement within a couple days... so I think the the website itself is a decent place to do business with.

 

The best IMO are ones that use NSK or Koyo bearings.
They usually run 2x the price of the ones you linked above.

I’m getting ready to do one of my bearings again (second time), I went with Beck/Arnley.
I don’t know what bearings they use, but I’m going to “take a chance” and see what happens.

There is a member on here that build the Hub Assembly with good bearings.
I’ve not used his assembly, but he gets great reviews.

I have trq rotors on the truck now, rear drums ,wheel cylinders and blower motor on my Corolla. I have wheel bearings and hubs on my daughters focus. Oh yeah also the cvs in the Tacoma but I’m rebuilding the oem and these will just be extra. So far all parts have been correct and of decent quality for the price.

 

...and the revised Toyota OEM one has one more roller in each half of the bearing and each of the rollers is longer. I have been calling it the HD bearing. I have put them in mine because I off road some.

ToyMoCo did it at the same time they revised the front differential side bearing (as a TSB) and both were put into the 3rd gen. and made available for 2nd Gens. It is Part No. 43502-60201 and inscribed NSK on the race.

You are welcome, except I botched the part number. The number I gave above is for the hub. The part number for the improved bearing is 43570-04011. You would have to spec. the number as the 2nd. gen parts catalogs typically default to 43570-04010, the older one. I just tried this and the detailed dealer catalog shows 2nd Gen application if you enter the -11 number. Anyway they fit perfectly and I use them on my 2nd Gen.

Any chance there’s a part / part number available from Toyota for a hub pre-assembled with the new 21 roller bearing?

 

1a auto is a stand up company who stands by the parts they sell. ive had good luck with many of the parts they sell. they are also local to me even though they ship for free!!

 

They are average in quality. I find that TRQ/1A are relatively acceptable in quality based on price. Unfortunately the parts themselves do not last as long, maybe 1/2 the life of oem parts. You do get what you pay for. I would highly agree with the suggestions other members have provided.

 

I sort of doubt it. The detailed dealership diagrams show nothing, but then again sometimes you run across a parts dept. employee that has been there a long time that has more insite. For example, I did not know that rear replacement springs can be had as a complete kit, left and right, with basically all assembled. So try calling around to find an old-timer?
