We got a new Chamberlain opener and I had the option of a keychain style opener. I love it, and I feel more secure not having it in the truck in case of a break-in, no garage access.

I installed some new speakers in the front doors today. Rockford Fosgate The Punch Model 1692 6x9. I didn' take any pics, but just in case you're doing this, reuse the existing Toyota speaker frame to install these. Strip out all the old speaker guts, and wires, cut out all the "supporting crossmembers" leave the yellow foam ring and use the remaining frame to mount the new speakers too. You will need to drill four small holes on the edge on the plastic speaker frame to drive the mounting screws at a slight angle it works fine, and no chance of puncturing the new speaker. Keeps the speaker magnet away from the window in the down position, and lots of room behind the door panel. Reinstall using the factory 10 mm bolts. The new sound beats the factory set up by a mile.

I used these wiring harnesses from Amazon for a plug and play experience.

In the back doors I installed the Rockford Fosgate 6.5"round speakers with the same set of wiring harnesses. Super easy install, same thing, reuse the factory speaker frames as a mounting bracket for the new ones. About an hour each set to install. Way better sound for under $500 .

Next will be the tweeters and maybe a sub woofer and amp.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I did exactly that 2 weeks after I brought the truck home except I installed Infinity all around. Recently I put some self adhesive sound deadening foam around the speaker on the door panel and it has improved bass response considerably.

One of my biggest grips is the metal feet of seats in my Toyota's - they are ugly as hell. So - I had these on my Prius - so picked up some for my new Tacoma!

Drivers side (10-way Power Adjustable). Before and After.
Only thing I had to do was cut the curve off at the end and sand it flat and it fit like a glove.

I use Aluminum Anti-Seize - and then usually use a q-tip to smear it on the threads on the inside. Works like a charm every time.

Finally swapped over the factory tires to KO2s.

Over the past 6 weeks; upgraded to the black Pro Wheels, Morimoto headlights, and pro grille.

@Beaver18 I’ve been planning this mod for a while. Just curious— some Amazon reviews talk about quality issues (stopped working, adhesive issues w “sticker” etc). Is this still going strong for you (and do you still like it?). Also— amazon says not compatible w 2020 Tacoma but I’m guessing that may just mean a harness adapter may be necessary. Was this plug and play for you? Sorry for all the questions at once and thx! Looks great!
