Yeah thats my plan, too. But I don't have any shrink tubing of that er, gauge I guess. Just some smaller stuff for car audio, etc. Chris is sending me some of the heavy stuff.

    Never enough
Installed my bracket/switch a few days ago. Install was tight but smooth. One of these days I'll pull it back off and paint it.

Thanks for letting me know this is an issue, I'll be looking to see how I can improve the process so this occurrence is reduced.

I forgot that I had already cut all the stuff i currently have to length, so waiting on a new piece to deliver and i'll send you out a length long enough for your repair

Looks awesome man! Glad it worked out for you.

Welp just placed another order of brackets!

Question for you folks, is powder coating something you all want? The price will increase $5/kit for coated options. I am looking at getting a portion of, if not all, the brackets powder coated; what color(s) are the most desired? My initial thoughts were black, red and/or a shade of grey.

Also trying to figure out if the coating should be a coat to order thing, or if I should coat a batch of them and thats what I'll have available. Getting them coated by the batch will certainly be cheaper then to order with these being so small, just not sure how to go about this yet. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!:)

I know everyone has their personal preference/thoughts on this. I think it is a safe bet to powder coat 95% of the batch black. I would leave a few blank brackets un-coated, in case a user wants to modify it. It's a safe and universal color. Despite the color, PC is more for part longevity due to potential corrosion. Black also matches the switch, unless you start using a red one.

I know I bought mine with the intent to modify it so a bare bracket was ideal. you are offering a 5$ difference in price (at this point). the dollar difference is very low and as a customer, I would rather pay the extra 5$ on a PC bracket - even if i had to get it re-coated to another color. I have bought other brackets in the past that were bare and wished they had at least been powder coated - due to laziness on my part.

If the price difference was a lot more than 20$+ then I would reconsider paying that if I was going to just re-coat due to color choice.

Sometimes it's just being lazy on my part to get off my duff and get a bare bracket painted. Paint is cheap, but not always ideal over PC. I just recently found a good Powder Coater here in Alaska.

Two requests for everyone that has purchased a kit:

#1: I would love to hear some feedback from each of you if I haven't already. What do you like/dislike? What would you change? What do you think would make it better? Are there any issues with your kit that haven't been resolved? Both positive and negative feedback greatly appreciated!

#2: I'd like to compile some installed pictures to share on my social media page. To those of you all that have purchased and installed a kit, would you mind throwing a picture or two up here if you haven't already? If you're on instagram, include your @, and ill be sure to tag you in it as well

I'm not a good person to provided feedback. I decided against ordering the switch because I was planning on doing a dual battery setup and putting the second battery in a dual batt. tray that would eat up the space where the switch goes.

However, after researching it more and finding that the sheet metal in that location isn't very strong to begin with, I started looking at other options for dual battery setups and found something that would work. Then, I got a Jackery instead. So, without having any experience with the switch, I think it looks like a great location and setup.

That being said, there may be others who have a dual battery setup who don't have that space available. An optional mounting location, even if it was a different design, would be good to offer. Though there may not be enough of a market to make the R&D worth it.

The Jackery was a smart move! Thanks for the information, certainly something to consider.

I had the same issue. If you have a vice (or are confident with a pair of pliers) and the width of your winch leads supports it, I'd recommend using a drill to bore out the center of your leads just enough to fit over the switch terminal.

Thanks for reminding me of this, and apologies for never getting back to you via PM.

I have done some research, as well as talked to a Blue Sea technical rep about using the thread reducer i linked to you ( https://www.mcmaster.com/4624K35/ ), however I still have no definitive answer in regards to your "will it handle the amperage" question you asked me.

I do not think there would be an issue, so long as all the connections are good and tight.
