What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

So, I'm gonna post what people hate...I thought you HAD to have a lift to put on 33s, even with skinnies.

 

On what year model was it discontinued? Now I have to go look.

 

My door flags lead the charge as do any other flags. My avatar just is what it is, the intent is there.

 

We should all make a video walking around our truck, opening every compartment and pointing the camera at everything for future reference. Don’t forget to go underneath as well!

 

On the up side it's not as bad as "high spot blue.
used to mess with the noobies back it the day. Put some on the underside of a handle on a lathe or milling machine or othe machine or hand tool and watch. By the time the person realized it it is transferred to everything they've touched. Until they found and wiped every single thing that was touched they just spread it around more. Did I mention that it stains everything but a hard surface and even on some of those. Funny as hell. You could always spot a newbie by the blue stained hands.

Devil made me do it! A right of passage of sorts for new machinists.

 

Especially if on a diet!

I might have to hit the lug nut seats with a touch of black though. You can see a little silver around the lugs. Has anyone else noticed or solved this?

Browse this thread (recent pages has more 3rd gen postings), it has quite a few different setups on skinny tires. Seems like lifting/cutting/trimming is dependent on what wheels you plan on running.

How well do these stay in place?. Amazon reviews say held in with double sided tape.

Change the tape to 3M emblem tape and those suckers aren't going anywhere.
