So damn strange waking up in a house. Its been almost two years in a trailer. Finally woke up made coffee and enjoying the morning cold air.

Check this one out. This is a flag holder I made with a flat spot for address numbers fir our neighbors new house. Kinda cool seeing it every time I drive by.

 

I use chainsaws and if it doesn't work out how I want I usually can toss it in the fire pit.

 

I've watched a couple of the carvers at work. My uncle being one (not chainsaws though). My take is that you have to have a vision but more importantly, a sense of the "weight" and scale as you cut. It's incredible. Even a bear or even a fish has such intricate detail.
