If they cancel out on you, then a same day refund should be SOP.. same as the day you signed on. After all, it's still a great deal for them, they've had your money to earn more with all this time. Another in a long list of life's inequities.

Somewhere there's a young attorney salivating over this.

Good morning coolest thread on TW! I got great news today. My parents are in an "independent living" complex near us and have been under pretty tight restrictions since COVID came a-callin'. Starting today they are FINALLY able to leave the place without an official escort provided by the facility! :woot: I have been doing their shopping on Fridays -- perhaps today my dad and I will go together!

    That is great news!!!

We've only lost money on one of the trips so far - we had rented a house in Philadelphia for a trip with my son and his family back in April. The Governor shut down short term rentals so even if we wanted to go we couldn't. The rental owner would only give us a 1/2 refund. In the others we either got a full refund or they rolled the deposit forward to a later trip. We are rescheduled for our Antigua trip in November 2021.

Starbucks costs a couple of bucks for plain coffee now, not a quarter.

Hope all are safe and well this AM - we still have the gray sky of fire smoke drifting through from California. But..... for now.....no fire of our own nearby.

Can't convince myself to buy Starbucks coffee when I have my own pot!

    Same here.
    Had a Starbucks once.
I asked for black with no sugar and they looked at me like I just fell to earth.
Tasted like 4 day old camp coffee.
Don't like Dunky either. Always tastes burned, no matter where you are.

If I need a coffee to go, gas station coffee is better than the 2 mentioned, esp. if it's Green Mountain brand.

Coffee's coffee to me. I only think it tastes better when I'm traveling, and need a break. At that time it's usually McDonalds, and only because I can see the sign far enough away to take the exit. I have a couple waypointed on my GPS, between here and Odessa, Chicago.

Good morning, all!! Starbuck's has always seemed like just overpriced coffee to me. Of course, I only drink black, regular coffee - none of the flavored or frothed versions.

Happy Sunday....another of the wonderful days where I'm no longer worried about going back to work.

For some reason I don’t feel like you were ever worried about going to work.

Not every day was a great day, but I loved both of my careers. I couldn't have been more blessed or had more fun.

    Then you won the gold.
I thought I did good until 10 years into my career. Then everything changed.
    Very happy for you..

    Morning all:
Not much of a coffee drinker, when I do drink it I have to "KILL" it with multiple creamers and usually some french vanilla cappuccino mixed in.
On the night trips to Maine it seemed like the rest stops got more frequent as the guys drank more coffee!

The trip from Lincoln, Nebraska to Laramie, Wyo was always good for a few black coffee stops. For me, best driven in the middle of the night - very early morning.

 We were a lot younger then, at that age we would probably have had to add a few more stops!

NO BEER on the trip! Even in camp, on average the guys that enjoyed a beer or two never overindulged, we were there to hunt. Reveille went at 0500, eat breakfast, do your thing, and we were usually out in the woods from daybreak until almost dark, couple of times we were out in the dark dragging buck.
