We should have started remote, then brought in groups of kids as they needed. How ever the community I work in, a fair amount of kids need to be away from home, they need those 6 plus hours of safety and security. The kids are doing good, but it’s clear they are getting frustrated as are the teachers with the needed rules.

I like what my kids high school is doing, 2 days in person (1 in person class per subject) and theN 2 days zoom remote, and One day Is just a work day.

That is pretty much what we are doing...all remote and then bringing in kids as needed. I think starting Monday actually.
Your kids HS sounds like a good plan. I think my son's school has a good plan as well. We shall see.....
I have a friend at Erskine. He said they are making him doing sync/async/and virtual in class while teaching in-person. Nuts!

Ya, that shits not fair. Not fair to the teacher, and not fair to the students. Being virtual and in person is freaking tough.

    Congratulations!

There’s a feeling that comes over you the first time you pick up that kid which one cannot explain - right? A girl, nice. My daughter is a Sophomore at URI. You’ll get a good 10 or 11 years of easy times. Wait till they hit 12... Then the boys and worries start...

    Good job!

I had looked a lot into Florida last year. Doesn't seem like a good place to live. Everyone I talked to that lived there at one time didn't recommend it. The last girl I dated moved there "because it's cheaper". Yeah the housing is cheaper, but everything else isn't. Insurance is higher, utilities are higher, and jobs don't pay as much. :Notsure:

    Not the state--Florida, MA.

It's one town over from me, so I think insurance and utilities are basically the same.

I can see it from my back yard. The wind turbines on the mountain that overlook my town are all in Florida. It's absolutely beautiful there.

It's a little weird, though. It's either tar paper shacks or really nice large/expensive country homes. Not much in between.
