I don't know how to put this but...I'm kind of a big deal. People know me. I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

I started a humor site in October 2008 to write and share funny stories on. It had a fair amount of traffic early on. Then I wrote an article about getting caught drawing something on a credit card machine at a store. The site traffic jumped from about 1,000 visitors a day to 10,000...to 30,000, etc. Consumerist.com picked up my article which brought in even more traffic. Then I got an email from the radio show Too Beautiful To Live out of Seattle (they were on radio then) and they wanted to interview me about the story. I declined the interview. It got to the point where friends emailed me the link telling me to check out the article and the site. It was pretty cool to see something like that take off. I had some other friends that also wrote for the site. One of them wrote an article about dealing with Auto Zone that got picked up by Jalopnik.com. We ran a ton of hits, but roughly 8 months after I first opened the doors, I let it die out. I was getting busy with my career and never felt like writing or making videos anymore. When the domain name ran out, I didn't bother renewing it.

It was a cool experience and that was the most famous I've ever been.

People searching for your site won't necessarily increase your position. The best way to improve your google search position is by having links to your site from some high-traffic sites. I'd suggest putting your URL in your signature. Plus, if you comment on any fitness sites, include your URL in your comments like it was a signature.

Believe it or not but there was no teleprompter or cue cards. It took about 10 effin trys before I said the correct stuff and my crew was laughing their asses off the whole time, (we were all working on jets when the camera crew approached us so it was spur of the moment) and that didnt make it any easier. As for the others , I cant speak for them, they may have used it?!
