    Hey all,

after doing some mod's and adding items to my bed rails, high lift jack, extra lights etc. We all know it is a pain and time consuming job, especially cutting metal, drilling holes, finding the right bolts, etc.
Contact Undercover and ask for customer service, tell them you want to purchase some of the bed rail blocks and bolts. Now these are heavy thick alum. drilled and tapped, and the bolts, washers are S.S. I was able to pick up 8 total for around $22, now in looking at my receipts, and my time this a way cheaper way to go, and the BIG thing is half the job is done for you.
Now I am mod nuts...:D, so what ever makes it simple and with less time, I am all for it.
    Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up longbow! I'm about to be buying a HiLift jack and will need to mount it in the bed. I was actually wondering exactly how all of that went together....

    Pics would be awesome!

Here is a pic of my jack set up, now there are others here. As for a pic of the set up, sorry I just re-installed my cover, (long story) but the alum blocks fit in the rail (firm with little play) and I would say they are about 1/4" thick, and roughly 2" long, the bolts are roughly 1 1/2" to 2" long and are 1/2" (socket or wrench). I should have them in a few days, and as soon as I get them (will be hunting) I will post pic's

HA...swing by this way and I will hook you up, always fun working on someone else's ride.
If this bed light mod works out would you be interested in one? need to get the lights in a set (2 of them) and my mod only uses 1, but with military blackout.

I wanted a secure way to mount my bikes in the back of the truck, but didn't want to spend the ~ $50 (each!!) for the Toyota adapters for the bike fork that use the existing rail tie downs.

So after some measuring and thinking... I went to the local hardware store and picked up a 3' piece of steel strap 1" x 1/4" for about $5 (way more than needed). The inside of the track piece is just a touch over 1" tall. Cut the steel to length, then drilled & tapped holes to match the bike mount blocks I got for about $16 each. I shot the steel pieces with primer to keep them from rusting away quickly. I had to remove the bed rail track to slide in the steel piece, but that was pretty easy, just 5 torx bolts. Put it all together and it works quite well!

I've got just under $40 in this project and probably took about 2 hours. Buying the mount from the dealer and/or online would have been about $100 for 2, and would have to use the tie down loops.

Sorry I don't have a pic up yet, will work on that. It looks just like those fancy aluminum pieces above, just with a bike fork mounting bock with a quick release skewer on it.
