Meh, Zotac is fine. I've actually heard good things about them.

What's chapping my booty is how many team Green fan boys are out defending nVidia. Lots of, "well, you know, a lot of people were saying supply is short so don't blame nVidia for not having enough supply," it's just dumb. nVidia knew they were doing an on paper style launch and you better believe it was for all the wrong reasons.

Ok, revising this with the information coming from JayzTwoCents and RedGamingTech sources. Both have posted pictures of new AMD cards that were quietly, and supposedly intentionally, leaked to them. A google search will show them, there appears to be three big Navi cards ready to go. AMD is saying quietly to influencers that they will be ready to launch a relatively larger amount of cards in November compared to what nVidia will be able to produce up to that point. I hope that's the case, nVidia doesn't seem ready to supply the market.
    • AMD pushed back their GPU announcement from the CPU announcement because now they are dropping a full stack lineup of mid to top tier RX 6000 cards. They needed the extra time since reference design partners only have one card ready to launch at this time but will be ready for all three by November.
    • There will be three cards to start. The middle one, likely the RX 6800XT, was supposed to be the only card launched and was going to be announced along side the Zen 3 based CPUs but the decision was made by AMD to do the entire stack instead at the end of the month.
    • AMD has been building RDNA 2 GPUs for months without anyone knowing. It was originally assumed they were only building units for the PS5/Xbox during that time, but in fact a significant amount of production was for the 6700XT, 6800XT, and 6900XT. In other words, AMD has GPUs ready to ship to their partners so there will be a good amount of cards available on their launch day.
    • AMD is ready to launch more cards on launch day in November than nVidia can drop between now and then. This is why AMD postponed their launch until the end of October. They want to launch full force and they don't think nVidia RTX 30 series cards will have much market presence until 2021.
    • All three new cards are based off the same PCB and GPU. The lowest is likely cut down to around 40 AMD RDNA 2 Compute Units (same amount as in the current 5700XT, but RDNA 2) with two cooling fans on the reference design. The middle card is likely cut down to around 60 AMD RDNA 2 Compute Units and the big Navi RDNA 2 flagship will have 80 AMD RDNA 2 Compute Units. Both of those cards will have three cooling fans and be the size of the 3080. This is by far the most CUs ever used in an AMD card and some sources are saying it could be stronger than the 3080 at raw non ray tracing performance in game!
    • AMD has been very quite about ray tracing. It's definitely a feature but nVidia will likely be much better at it.
    • AMD will not have DLSS. nVidia suggested DLSS could be licensed last year but AMD won't touch it apparently. They will stick with their own image sharpening algorithm. They may have Intel on board. Rumor is Xe will use AMDs code for AI image sharpening.
    • The AMD cards will all have 16 GB of memory and a 256 bit memory bus. However, the top two cards will have a 128 MB memory buffer. A buffer that large has never been used before on a GPU and the entire GPU will be able to access it with no latency penalty. This means that while the cards will use GDDR6 they might behave like they have HBM2 because of their enormous cache. This is why AMD is not interested in GDDR6X, they are going a different direction to increase GPU throughput similar to what they did with Zen2 on the CPU side.
    • AMD will have cards at three price points. No word on what they will be except the basic 3080 competitor will be the $549 card most likely.
    • The AMD card leaks show a USB-C type port on the card. AMD has clarified that the port is NOT for VR headsets like nVidia suggested. The big rumor is that the 6000 series card will have a Thunderbolt 3.0 port compatible with DisplayPort daisy chaining. If that is true it's a feature that's being underplayed, that would be huge for me since it would add Thunderbolt to my Ryzen system and allow me to run one cable from the graphics card to both my monitors.

Very interesting, I was concerned that AMD would be struggling this series but hopefully this is accurate and they become good competition in the GPU market, it’s looking like I’ll hold out for the new AMD gpu’s to be put for a few months and then possibly pick one up.

I bought a RX 550 for $80 just so I could get my PC back. Fall Guys runs at 1440p45fps at the lowest settings. Pretty much stuck to playing other casual games like Uno and Among Us.

Now I can buy a high end GPU when its convenient for me. Power and features like image sharpening and ray tracing are what I'm looking for in that $700 range.

Yeah. Unfortunately now I have to decide whether to get up early on Thursday and get crushed by bots and scalpers or wait until November to get crushed by bots and scammers lol.

Life is a circle. RX550 is on par with a 7950, the GPU I bought for my 1st custom PC 8 years ago.

    It's a secret
I hope someone can chime in.

I have an ASRock M8 Z87 and the A-Command (All-In-One OLED Display) Button stopped displaying the rotary dial selections but strangely enough it still seems to allow me to make blind-click selections to either toggle on/off the internal LED accent lighting and "Eco, Standard, Speed" modes.

I have tried shutting down, restarting, complete power shut down, and opened up the case panel to check for a loose cable...and nothing solved the issue. I don't think it was affected by any Win10 updates because it's a hardware button display on the case itself and not on OS software...the google or ASRock websites weren't too helpful either...20200920_000122.jpg

I'm still gonna try and get the 3090. May just get the cheap one and preorder the EK block since they are releasing it in October. No telling when EVGA will release the hydrocopper version with this low of supply. That vram is just calling my name too much for renders and substance painter.

Fair. Though there is a 20GB 3080 coming. Gigabyte filed copyright on a bunch of names for 20GB 3080s this week.
