Anyone wanna show me some trails next month? Should have this thing ready to ride. Just needs fuel lines now. For how simple those carbs are... Total nightmare. Leaked gas. Cleaned. Still leaked. Rebuilt with new needle and seat. Still leaked. Adjusted floats, one was slightly off. Still leaked. Banged it with a wrench. No more leaks.

Now I'm scared to ever pull the bowls off to change jets. Luckily it seems jetted ok.

If you've already checked the grounds, it may be the factory fog lamp relay.

Baja Designs LED...polar opposite of Chinese

this. They are Baja Designs with some weather pack connectors. I'll try some DE grease and check relays/fuses.

I have an HP Tuner with a Trans flash. I'm running 4.56's but I also have a Shift Kit and S/C as well. Regardless, the flash will help out with shift points. Get with @JustDSM for the Trans files. I'm not skilled enough to mess with the tables myself. I just did the logging and file saving, then sent off my stock file logs to Justin and he sent back the new files to flash. all easy to do.

I plan on hitting coral pink and sand hollow. Loan Rock is close and also looks pretty fun. I hear sedona has some good trails too.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been meaning to check if my pipes have spark arrestors but I forgot. If not, I plan to order some FMF Turbinecore silencers. The website says they're USFS approved.

What are you guys all running for skids in Az? Trying to decide between rci aluminum or steel. Not going to be doing anything crazy since truck has almost 200k. Just don’t want to buy alum to save weight and find out they don’t work to well around Phoenix

I am running a full set of RCI steel. Got a lot of whacks on it while running stock suspension. Once I upgraded my suspension, rarely hit the skids now. I mostly use my truck for hunting, not climbing over boulders.

I run aluminum and they work here no problem. Steel let’s you slide better on rocks whereas the aluminum will hang a little. I needed the weight reduction and makes working on truck way easier when you are dropping armor

Definitely not. The weight savings and ease of off/on is worth it imo. For the majority of our wheeling.. they do just fine. Occasionally I'll do some stuff that beats on em, but they hold up pretty well. Some gouges and small bends but nothing structurally threatening. At the end of the day they are better than stock so no complaints.

I agree. I have a 4 banger so I need all the help I can get in the weight department. However, they do show more wear and tear.

Nah. It came with the truck. I'll probably keep it till I punch a hole clean through it, which will probably be the next time I try to keep up with you on the trail. :p

I do believe it is a collector's item though. I'm pretty sure Relentless is out of the skid plate game.

Oh, nice, and let's hope not!

I need to get a skid on mine, otherwise I'll beat you to the hole in the oil pan.

Diablo trail is cool with history. But unfortunately with the proximity to the border. It can be dicey to run. Used to hit it from the west when I was stationed in Yuma. Hell we didn’t even know the official name. Just was a cool trail.

It's been on my to do list for too long. Due to the remote location I haven't done it alone but I'm shooting for December.

I wouldn’t solo. But if you are I’d contact the border patrol let em know your plans. So they can kinda keep track of ya. There all over out there. Plus they grate the roads with tires often looking for tracks.

Yeah, I'm going to want at least a second vehicle to go along. I don't want Murphy's Law choosing me 40 miles walking from the nearest NAPA store.
