Those bars that let you slide the bins in are genius. Such an awesome feature and use of space. How the heck did they brand them "lion" bins though? Aren't they identical to the Frontrunner Wolf pack bins?

Big +1 to this. I grew up in Wisconsin and we all did this. Also, spray the entire mechanism, especially any rubber pieces in 100% silicone. It's hydrophobic and will prevent water from ever adhering let alone freezing.

Favor- could I trouble someone with an RLD on a 3rd gen short bed to take a couple pics of the interior structural members? specifically, examples of the 4 corner pillars (just one of each front and rear) and the cross members on the underside of the roof? Thank you in advance.

Haha! I thought the same thing, slightly different measurements I think. Was looking to buy the FR lid for some extra space and if I remember correctly it wouldn't fit. Awesome boxes for the price, though. I may buy a couple more for the bed to fit in a storage system I'm designing out of aluminum extrusion that will slide in and fit under the rail slider and hug the wheel wells.

Nice CAD skills! I have a Decked system too so that thing wouldn’t work.

Thanks, I have zero skills. Someone on a different thread had a link to 80/20’s design program. It’s pretty slick, dummy proof (I’m a perfect example) and actually prices out the build and hardware. Also allows you to submit the design for approval and then print out the parts list.

Oh haha. I’ll check that program out. I like that it has costing. Are you by chance willing to help me out with my pic request from a few posts above? Also do you know of the roof cross members are slotted on the inside so that you can mount things to hang down?

Actually, looking at the specs for each, the front runners should for sure fit. It's only the length that matters since they're slide in sideways, the front runners are 20.1 in long and the RLDs are 20 in long. that 1/10 of an inch is not going to prevent you from sliding it in, that's what she said.

I was looking at getting their taller lids to replace the ones on the Lion Boxes, may just order one to see if they fit if it's only that little of a difference.

What are you looking for, exactly? I'd be happy to take pics just want to make sure they're what you're looking for...

Thanks man! really just a pic of the inside corners (pillars) (just one each front and back is fine) then one pic of the underside (interior) roof cross members (structural bars).

2007 Tacoma double cab long box
    Question need answered please.
I have a 2007 Tacoma long bed double cab.
Need 2nd gen. Bed floor top of humps to RLD canopy door opening.
Basically need to know what room I would have for clearance to slide things in and out of back not hitting anything.
    Thank you.

Another weekend camp with the RLD...loving the rail system and lion boxes as much as the canopy. The bed of my truck is wide open and clean944AF06C-4CDB-4611-8DC0-05FE99B91B5B.jpg7271C706-C00C-413B-A716-66C96D8CFD53.jpgF2962485-343F-42E4-A7BD-85129B2E8A01.jpg

How did you attach the awning to the canopy?
