    Good Morning folks .
    Hi Susan :hattip:.
A bit of a nip in the air this morning. Even the pup doesn't like it. Does his business and is heading home. Was upstate for a bit this weekend and had to fire up the heater to warm the place up a bit. Leaves on the trees are turning and it looks so pretty.
    Have a great day all.

Morning all. Lower 30's here with no heat pump or furnace. Sure am glad I have the pellet stove. Hopefully all will be well after a service call this afternoon. Garden is pretty much done for the year. Need to start getting ready for the leaves to dump all over the yard.
Wife and I are heading out to breakfast shortly before we go to work.
Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning all. Warmest morning out of the last week today...a balmy 38. Lynn and I went on a hike at a State Park about 40 minutes away yesterday morning and then I spent the afternoon ppriming our back porch railing where we've had peeling. 2d coat of primer today and then I'll wait until spring to paint the whole back porch.

    Be safe out there!!

Good morning! SW OH is cooling down, feels good out, I like it in the 40-50 degree range. This summer was hotter than usual, couldn't do anything out, without wringing out my T after.. hard on an old man. Heat pump auto-switching to heat mode early morning, then back to A/C in the afternoon, good sign winter's coming. Hmmm.. better get busy splitting up some wood, so it will be dry by Chistmas. Only have maybe 1/2 cord left from last winter. Annual flu cleaning done, new topper this year, the new poly chimney brushes are great, and made in the USA!

I miss the cooler fall days - but not so much the wood cutting, toting, stacking part. Lived in wood heated spaces much of my life - cleaning chimneys, shoveling ash, and all of those necessary activities are now left to my son and grandsons! Builds character right?

Great News - Yuengling beer is coming to the west coast. I saw the news that Yuengling is creating a partnership with Molson Coors to brew and distribute Yuengling throughout the West. I love Yuengling beer since my father in law introduced me to it 20 plus years ago. The only time I get to drink my favorite beer in when my wife and I travel back to Pennsylvania once a year or so. My wife is from the Lancaster Pa. area and her family still lives there. It’ll be like a little piece of Pennsylvania right here in California. Now she’ll have to find another reason to drag me back to Pennsylvania (just kidding I like Pennsylvania). I’m thirsty just thinking about it.

I first tried Yuengling while working in SC years ago, but it wasn’t in my home state NC until a few years after that. My favorite “regular” beer, great flavor and not too heavy. I enjoy a heavier IPA on occassion as well.
Update: when I used to travel to PA, I would come home with a case of Jenny Cream Ale (spelled Genesee), a novelty for me and we couldn’t get it here back then.

Good morning everyone!! Hoping for another mid-70s day here today. Got the second coat of paint on the back porch raining, now I need to stain some floorboards I sanded smooth. Just trying to get some coverage for winter and will give it all fresh coats in the spring. Oh, and I need to cut some grass today, too. I thought retirement was supposed to be restful?

I do the same thing when we visit my wifes family in Detroit except I purchase a couple six packs of Moose Drool.

No Bingo night but we do play Checkers with Friends. LOL

    Morning all:
Hey Tom, Checkers can be an interesting game, years ago when I worked for IR during a layoff from BS I learned how to play checkers strategically from a guy that worked there. Not as complicated as chess, but there are certain calculated moves in advance that will allow you to beat any novice you are playing against and that I now have forgotten!
What ever happened to Canasta!!!!
