    I asked him the same thing. I was talking with him about it over IG and he was saying that he tries not to "play in other companies' sandboxes if he can avoid it"
    Since Marlin now offers the same clockable inchworm adapters that Cory has.

    Well what do you mean by TG case? because the TG adapters are not clock-able themselves. Are you referring to the adapters or the transfer case housing itself?

    Yep. The Inchworm adapter is the only adapter that had the ability to clock the transfer case separately from the crawlbox. I don't know enough about the TG adapters, but I also know that I can use my transmission adapter to clock the crawlbox and transfer case by 10°. If the TG stuff has anything like that you could do something like that to help gain a little bit of clearance. :notsure:

    So that's basically what I meant. The current trail creeper is not clockable but I was hoping @eimkeith could make something similar to how he made the stock t-case clockable.

    It'll be hard imo. I think two of the main reason why clockable adapter is nolonger produced is because once you start clocking, you'll lose oil capacity/flow and it's prone to leak.

    Yeah, next best bet would probably be an Atlas, but that's a pretty penny and I'm not sure many people are fond of the idea that you have to cut into the floorboard to fit the damn thing.

    Can concern. Mine hasn't leaked, but I've read plenty of people complaining about it leaking.

    It's all good. It took me a bit to understand it all too. Don't be afraid to ask questions, I did lots of reading on the crawlbox bs thread too. Lots of good information there.

    New seal is in. Completely resealed the crawlbox. So for the most part the truck is put back together. Decided it was finally time to build a mount for the crawlbox to help with the torque and extra weight on the transmission mount. Originally was going to "MarMount" the transmission mount, but I decided that this would be more than sufficient to do what I need. If you want to read more about the "MarMount" then click here.

    Tomorrow the truck will be back on all 4 tires and rolling out of the garage. Just going to run to Napa in the morning to pickup some non-synthetic gear oil for the crawlbox/t-case. I've been using synthetic since I installed it and my dad, along with a few people on Pirate/IH8MUD, have had the crawlbox leak with full synthetic gear oil. Hopefully that at least limits the leaks for the time being until I decide to fork up the cash for an Atlas.

    What does synthetic vs non synthetic have to do with leaking?

    I always ran the thickest synthetic I could find in my crawl box, that box gets hot as fawk on the highway so it will get less thin if that makes sense, plus the thick gear lube quiets it down. The crawl box is going to leak no matter what it seems, mine vents out the shifter despite haveing a massive vent on the case itself, it also vents if I put too much lube in it. The first box I built in 2007 had zero leaks, then the splines stripped out a year later and the 2 I built after that leak no matter what I did.

    Non-synthetic gear oil is thicker than synthetic gear oil. It fixed the issue for my dad when my crawlbox was in his FJC, and a few others had a similar issue on Pirate and IH8MUD. I'll have to try the thicker gear oil out next time. Any recommendations?

    Thanks man! Definitely worth building a mount. The drivetrain feel so much better now. I too am :fingerscrossed: for no leaks!

    Just a quick thing on synthetic vs non synthetic, its not that one is thicker than the other or not, the weights will mean the same thing between synthetic or non synthetic. The difference is the size of the molecules and the properties. Conventional oil has molecules of all different sizes, some big, some small, synthetic has uniform molecules that are on the smaller side. If you are having issues with leaking and synthetic you can try to find an oil that has some sort of high mileage or seal additive to help swell and maintain seals and gaskets. I have never actually looked for that in a synthetic gear oil, but I’m sure it exists. In any case, conventional will do just fine, it’s served its’ purpose for a loooooooong time, it just needs to be changed out a bit sooner :thumbsup:

    I use mobil 1 or Castrol synthetic (whatever is at the store) 75-140 or whatever the thickest one they have on the shelf.
