Studs, lock washers, and nuts can be had at most auto parts stores or an Ace Hardware. The cone washers are a smidge hard to come by and are relatively expensive.

you might get the cone washers from someone parting out if you don`t want to go new from your dealer.

Well, you can buy the stud, washer, cone washers, and nuts individually from marlin for an additional cost.

In my case I did not need to replace all 12, just a handful that had messed up threads.

Because you're only buying 1 or 2 of them.

It's actually one of the more profitable items for shops/stores.

Buy a box of 100 for $20, sell each on for $1.

my research for my situation is yes, My understanding is that after replacing the output shaft on my auto tranny and installing a J shift transfer case the front diff axles won’t spin until i shift the transfer case & lock the hubs. I may be wrong.

    Does that answer your prejunta?

Not exactly - a free float hub can be driven on and roll without an axle shaft in it - ie if you had to go somewhere without a CV in the hub.

Make sure they’re grade 10.9 = roughly to Grade 8 SAE fastener strength

I have driven without a CV in the hub after I broke the CV on the trail. I had a spare CV but the stub sheared off inside the diff.

I noticed no immediate damage from finishing the trail and driving back to town with no CV in. After fixing it I'm coming up on a year without issue.

My suggestion would be the following, any Toyota dealer should be able to order them for you:

    90116-08171 - Stud (Qty: 12) (Alternate: 90116-08325, slightly longer)
    42323-60010 - Washer, Cone (Qty: 12)
    90201-08042 - Washer, Flat (Qty: 12)
    90170-08036 - Nut, Hex (Qty: 12)
