Yeah, just from looking at it, it should be fairly easy. I could probably help @Fernando with the mockup and getting them welded together whenever he's ready to get his dual cases setup. Only about a 2 hour drive to his place.

Looks like you're in luck @Fernando Someone has already used the RADesign and modified them to be in the stock location.

Make sure they have the EO Plaque on them. If they don’t you’ll have to have DT send it to you and might have to weld it on to them if you have a hard time with a smog inspection.

As much as I need the practice and welding projects, I sure hope that eo patch is already on there! Thanks for the heads up

haha thanks man, and yes! I still need to have better discipline with the pictures but it’s been fun.

Every day off is like a mod day here haha, come on up whenever!

Did you do the install yourself? If so, any advice?

I installed mine out of the truck on my donor engine. I had to install the y pipe a bunch of times whenever I pulled the engine to mess with things here and there since it won’t come out with the engine in one piece. If you can loosen the engine and maybe trans mounts to raise the engine it will help at least fitting the y pipe under the cowl next to the firewall.

I still have retained my 2 piece drive shaft. I have had it retubed 4 or 6 times now. It's hard to say because I carry a full second spare shaft and just keep swapping them out. It's not a big deal. You have to take both the front and tail shaft and have them balance the two as one complete unit. You can't just carry a spare tail shaft due to balancing issues. Yes, you can always go thicker material but that is more spinning weight under the truck going 4.56 (at least for my gearing) times faster than the tires. There is a good heavy duty option out there from Wide Open Designs that does a 2" 0.250 wall DOM Drive shaft kit... but that's some serious weight in the drive shaft but if it is properly balanced it would probably be safe.

Now with your draft shaft being shortened for the dual cases, see how long your primary shaft is going to end up. If it's not terribly long, I'd consider going to a once piece while eliminating the carrier bearing and additional u joints as well as vibration/balance issues. To see how much clearance you'll lose, just slap a straight edge from flange to flange, then make the decision on what compromises you are comfortable with.

I do have a 1” inch body lift, hopefully that’ll make my life ever so slightly easier when the time comes to put these on. I’ll have to take a look at the mounts and think about what I have in the way of jacks and stuff, if I think I can lift it a little to help I will. Thanks for the input @Dalandser

I’m going to keep the 2 piece, at least for starters. Just trying to find a local shop to work on it. Still waiting to hear back from the shop I’m hoping can do the work, since it’s like a football field away from my residence and they’ve got excellent reviews. I don’t think I’ll worry about getting thicker tube on it. I should probably find a spare though and have that re-worked as well, smart to have one and be ready  Thanks for lending your experience @Tacoma1192

Any drive shaft shop can do it. Just a simple retube to the length you tell them. Just pick your line choices carefully and give a fuck.... I ran out of both of those things.

here’s my last drive shaft after the rubicon with @theesotericone. It was brand new fresh retube when we started.
