Yeah I’ll get around to it. I don’t mind taking the suspension apart. Always been afraid of messing up interior trim pieces etc Lol

So - when I bought my SR5 - it didn't have the Qi wireless charger. So I looked into the price of it, and for the OEM parts it was close to $550 - just for a *Wireless* charger!
MY GOD... that's expensive! SOOOO... the Qi Center Console project was born!
    2016-toyota-tacoma-trd-off-road-review-12.jpg

    So, I bought a Qi button $95.
    7952ddb3-0024-4e0d-8140-3f2a4c465e2b.jpg

A center console organizer: CarQiWireless Storage Box for Tacoma 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020, Center Console Organizer Insert for Toyota Tacoma Accessory Black
    For $9.99
    Tacoma_Organizer.jpg
A FASTPAD Ultra-Slim Qi Wireless Charger PU Leather Wireless Charging Pad for iPhone 11 Pro iPhone X XR XS MAX / 8/8 Plus 7.5W Fast Charging, Water Resistant, No Heating (No AC Adapter)
$14.99 that plugs into the USB port at the bottom of the center console.
    Qi_Charger.jpg

Then I placed the Qi Charger in the center console tray (I will modify the opening in the bottom so I can hide the power cord cable).
    Qi_CenterConsole.jpg

Then - I placed the red rubber mat over the top of it. Fired the truck up and it works!
    Qi_Covered_CenterConsole.jpg
Next up, install the Qi button in the dash somewhere and then wire it into the power for the USB center console - so I can press it to turn it on or off.
This gives me the Qi Wireless charger in my Center Console for the bargain basement price OF... $125.Yes, I could have just skipped the Qi switch, but what the hell - I liked how it looked.

I tore up my hands, especially in the doors, but not from the noico, just from all the little sharp bits all over the truck.

Honestly, this may work better than the OEM one. There have been a few threads about retrofitting a better one, but I haven't seen a real solution yet that looks OEM.

So finished up the water can mount. This is for inside the camper top. Eventually will end up on the bumper and I'll do a metal strap. This one is temp. I'm all out of webbing and getting some this morning.

As far as ease of install...as long as you’re moderately mechanically inclined, it’s not too bad. I took my time, and spent about 90 minutes doing it. Several good YouTube videos go through the process well.

I couldn’t get to a place dark enough to really compare them with a photo, but Holy Mother of God do they light things up! These SAE (Street Legal) lights are certainly as bright as advertised. Baja Designs states the SAE’s are 150% brighter than OEM, and I’d say they’re every bit of that. Can certainly see the amber hue in street sign reflections, and I know they’re aimed properly. I’m extremely happy with them. Below is a bad photo in a parking lot with everything turned on:

Thank you. Yeah it’s only painted. I actually use the one off my other vehicle when towing, so the Toyota one doesn’t get scuffed.:anonymous::anonymous::anonymous:BACD762C-25F6-4993-A873-FDBE003F00ED.jpg
