I am having problems finding the correct Toyota oil filter for my '03 2.7. Who has them for a good price?

Did a quick search here and did not find what I am looking for.

    thanks!

I figured they would be astronomically expensive, so no I have not, at least not yet.

I found them on Amazon. I found a 5 pack for like $25.

Although the only reason I went with the OEM ones vs the other brand I've been using for decades is because I found them for a little cheaper.

Run whatever brand you want. It's not going to explode if you use a non OEM filter.

Usually around $5 from my experience. Give em a call.
if not this might help but shipping may not be worth it.

Can't get link to work either. I thought I saw a post a while back about Toyota OEM filters and where to buy them, on-line.

    Yes
    The black ones
I use K&W because it's got a m19 hex for easy spin with socket.

My local dealer sells the D1 for less than $6 and includes a new crush washer.

    4 run, 2 don't
Did you even look online or locally?

You can find them often at Walmart.

I'm almost positive the 2.7l uses the same oil filter as the v6

YZZD1 or YZZD3 should work, I usually get the bigger of the 2 which is the D3 I believe.

Walmart near me sells them for pretty cheap (OEM Toyota ones)

Everywhere I looked I saw the YZZG1 is what was needed for the 2.7, but if certain D1 or D3 works, yes I can find those all day long online.

Never seen them at Walmart, at least by me. I have not checked online Walmart.

When I go to look up OEM filters on Toyota Parts Deal, they don't even ask what engine the truck has...just the year and if 2wd or 4wd.

I would wait until someone with a 2.7l can confirm for you though, I have the v6 but I suspect the filters are the same.

Ordered YZZD3, case of 5 from Amazon. All reviews said they are a bit longer but fit. Rave 5 star reviews.
    Thanks for the responses.

Filters ending in D1, G1, and G2 are all interchangable and will fit the 2.7 and 3.4.

D3 filter is taller with same threads and gasket size.

I buy a case at my dealer ever few months I would guess the price might be expensive if your a walk in having never been to the parts counter.

Granted some dealers can have Twat waffles as parts people you never know

Anybody know why the longer filter is out there? More filter media, how could that be a bad thing if it still fits?
