This is a simple enough swap right, just open it at the pumpkin and fill it back up?

Yes, make sure you crack the fill plug first though. You don't want to drain it and find you can't refill. 3q of 75w-90 gear oil

Also, don't jack up the truck, you want it level. The fill plug also acts as a way to know when it's full. Pump fluid in until it starts coming back out

I couldn't tell who was happier to get back home yesterday, Kim or the dog:rofl:
Glad the dog finally got to get out though.
We will see if he wants to get back in the truck though:fingerscrossed:

If anyone that went on this run has water contamination in their rear diff, pick up some cheap gear lube to flush it. Then, if you can make it here to North Adams, I'll fill the diff with some Castrol Syngear 75W90 and a new 90341-18035 big magnetic Toyota plug, for my cost on all of it... $15. The lube alone is worth a minimum of $35... probably $45+ if buying in quart sized containers. It meets Dana Shaes 236 Rev C, which is a 500k mile drain for OTR trucks.

Do you get free gear oil?
    That stuff isn't exactly cheap!
    Great offer though:thumbsup:

Can confirm, did my rear diff on Saturday and spent like $30 on oil alone, and that's only because I had coupons and store credit and such.

I should be good because I relocated my breath but this is really cool of you to do

No, I buy 5 gallon pails in bulk, it's the usually the least expensive way to buy lube. The magnets I buy in bulk from overseas suppliers.

Least I can do as some of my advice may have contributed.

C'mon out with @littlefish & @tacobell007 this weekend, camping included.
Seems like it's just us 3 right now.
