Yeah it's a tough schedule. I work for the school district so I'm off and my daughter has Christmas break during that time. We did Grand Canyon last year so we're trying something totally opposite this year.

Good times. Yea it’s definitely different down there. It’s worth the hikes to the water pools and stuff. Make sure to get your permit to cross the bomb range in time.

I was told you have to sign in in Ajo or Yuma. That's why I picked a Monday start. If I could get the permits in advance I'd probably go for a 19th or 20th start date.

Well guys, I really hate to even be typing this. Anyone in the market for a K5 with an ultra rare Four Wheel Camper? I'm considering selling the Blazer. I've found a new house I want to buy thats a stretch but it's a dream place for me. In addition to trucks I'm a bit of an architecture buff and I've found a mid-century modern house by a relatively famous architect (Al Beadle) that is close to my price range. Im considering liquidating all my assets to make it happen. Blazer, Blazer + LS swap parts, just the LS swap parts, Harley, furniture, soul, everything ha. If anyone on here would be seriously interested in buying the Blazer(or a Harley) or knows someone that would, I'd prefer to sell it without listing it. I'd rather someone thats passionate about them gets their hands on it than trying my chances at Bring a Trailer or something like that. Ive posted up about it on some of my other build threads on CK5, Car Lounge, etc. Not Expo Portal yet because that will become a shit show immediately and Id rather keep it low key. If I sell my Harley first then Ill probably keep the Blazer but I know the Blazer will more than likely sell instantly. Im running out of time(Oct. 1) before I need to have a paper trail for any cash that shows up in my bank account since mortgage lenders are so crazy these days. Drop me a line if you or someone you know might be interested and we can exchange numbers. The LS swap has not yet begun. Blazer is still in running driving order with the stock driveline.

Ive got build threads on other forums and hundreds of pics, heres a few.

Cheyenne trim level, 4x4, 5.7 auto. Arizona truck its whole life. Technically it has had "two owners" but in reality it is a one owner vehicle. It came with a plethora of paperwork including the original order card for the Blazer, the original order sheets for the camper and lots of maintenance records of years past. I completely rewired the camper, truck has a dual battery setup, exterior shower, completely new water system with 10 gallons of freshwater and an electric water pump. Furnace and stove work on propane.

Who all has experience with dual battery setups? I've been gathering info and saving up to order everything I need. Was going to go with the Off-Grid Engineering dual setup. Essentially plug n play. I'm not very good at 12v wiring though.. so all the little details are what I'm unsure of. End goal is to clean up all my current wiring and switchpro setup. Make a tray for the switchpro and all the other little pieces I'll need (ground/power blocks?, Breaker?, Etc?). Then run a little power panel to the bed for the fridge and other accessories. Bed lighting. Etc. The biggest thing for me is what all I need under the hood minus the dual kit itself. Want to make it future proof and clean.

Yeah - we've been out of the skid plate world for a bit now. Wanted to focus more on our bumper products, tire carriers, and items like our tailgate reinforcements

Figure this forum is as good as any to ask for ideas

I have a warehouse and the company next door keeps parking in our reserved covered spots and it’s getting annoying but not ready to put up tow signs yet

looking for an idea for like a 250lb metal weight with a ring welded to the top or something like that. Then I can throw a strap through it and lift with forklift and set behind them till I’m ready to move it

was thinking maybe railroad tie section but any other ideas?

also, anyone running 275/70/17 tires? Seems like a good in between 265 and 285

Get a few old big rig drums and weld posts to them. String chains across to block you spots. Movable but damn heavy

The real details are in my build thread https://expeditionportal.com/forum/...he-crawlin-cabin-documentation-thread.214459/ but the short story is. Its an LM7 5.3 iron block/aluminum heads, truck intake manifold, Muncie SM465(Old school 4 speed with a crawl-worthy 6.55:1 1st gear ) manual truck trans + hydraulic clutch setup including a factory manual clutch/brake pedal box for a C/K truck and everything needed to mate the trans to the LS and an NP205 transfer case. Fully labeled wiring harness out of a running driving K5 Blazer with a laptop to control the engine management software. All brand new accessories including AC compressor, AC bracket from Dirty Dingo, new HO alternator, C/K LS swap headers from Schoenfeld, custom LS swap motor mounts that bolt it into any C/K Chevy stock SBC crossmember as well as a bunch of other stuff mostly specific to C/K trucks. It is literally bolt-in plug-n-play ready to go into any C/K truck that had a factory smallblock. Not the most ideal start if youre putting it into any other vehicle. Depending on what you could get a low mile LM7 for its close to $10,000 worth of parts.

That's a nice size you won't have to re-gear if you have a 2nd gen.

Height from stock is 1.55" taller so 3/4" lift of the truck.
    Diameter inches (mm) 30.61 (777.4) 32.16 (816.8) 1.55 (39.4) 5.1%

ya seems like a good jump up size. Basically half the jump in width and height from 265 to 285. You just never really see anyone running them. Still scouring threads on 285vs 275vs the skinny 255/80s

Are you trying to block someone in or block the parking spot from being filled? Legally, I would just tell the company that you plan on starting to tow on x date. Put up the signs and call it a day. Blocking someone in can cause issues and escalate a situation. If these people are already parking on private property they already give no shits about consequences.

Ya was thinking blocking in. It’s a company that has service trucks and revolving door for new workers so every new worker sees the covered shade and thinks it’s for them even though signs up

funny thing is they have their own covered in the front but would never take their own managements spots

probably just tell them we are going to tow at their own expense

I run 275’s and have no problems with them. I had no rubbing until I replaced the UCA’s.
