Well that makes three of us. Unless Dave’s having the time of his life “working”

Once I'm done "working" I'm going to pull my rear 3rd member and mail it back to ECGS. I currently have a lunchbox locker in there and I'm putting in an ARB. The lunchbox is clunky and loud and effective, but in a manual transmission, it can be a little exhausting. In autos they're not too bad.

I just put arb’s in Shannon’s truck last week and the compressor keeps blowing fuses. I think I have a bad switch. Arb told me it’s a ground issue but I grounded it to the battery negative and the body so I doubt that’s the issue.

You could try a continuity test on the switch to see, or maybe swap switches around with a known good. I'm just hoping I don't have issues with the internal seals. It's a known issue that ARB keeps "fixing" and it keeps failing. At least ECGS will take care of me but it would be a hassle. One friend here has had it warrantied 4 times now.

What’s the sign of a bad seal? Does it just leak and if so from where? Just so I know what to look for.

For the ARB to lock and remain locked, it'll have a constant 90 psi against it. So the compressor will cycle for a split second to build up pressure and then cut off. If you have a leaky seal, your compressor will just continuously run and the locker won't engage.

Time of my life? Meh. I'm supposed to be doing things. Productive things. Like making sure y'all don't get 'sploded. It can wait.

Randy, you need to make up your mind about that locker! Wait. Maybe I do. I've put it on my wish list four times and removed it. I just don't know that the clunking would drive me crazy. So whatchu doin' with the old lunchbox?

Gotcha, air seal. I was thinking an oil seal was affected by the copper line or something.

From what I can tell talking to people, it's not nearly as bad in an auto. It's a little clunky but it's just a little noise. In the manual, the slack that's introduced into the driveline is very noticeable and also causes the truck to be lurchy as shit in parking lots. I have to be mindful of what I'm doing. I was going to ask for them to ship it back with the diff. You'd need a new spring kit for it but you can have it if you want, assuming the teeth aren't all worn out.

What ever is easiest for you. Even if I had a brand new one sitting in the garage it would be a bit before getting it in. Especially, since I just put $70 worth of gear oil in there.

Redline. I think it was more like $45 or something. In mind I was adding in the front differential. There were lots of fluids..

Those pumps are the literal worse. For the rear I just squeeze it in and for the front, I have a 12" hose I put on the tip of the nozzle to squeeze it in. Still a bitch but at least I'm not sitting there pumping forever.

Air power! I have an air-powered fluid-moving-type-thing. It made this weekend so much easier. Refill time was nap time.
