Any pics of your hood pin installation? Did you put the pins on the radiator support? It just so happens the hood material above the radiator support is 2-3 in. thick.

Do these have provisions to mount OE washer nozzles? And where do most of your customers locate the hood pins?

After weeks of delay, finally got my CF hood delivered and installed! Overall quality is great. Love the attention to detail Siebon put in the underside of the hood. OEM holes and latch placement made for a breeze when transferring the windshield fluid nozzles and lines, and lining the hood up to the truck. Had to file to make the clip holes bigger, but no biggie.

I plan on installing Aerocatch hood pins eventually. Latch seems sturdy - will see over time. Minor hood vibration/ripples at 60+MPH, but never once worried that the thing would fly up lol.

Shout out to @ShowstoppersUSA for the top notch customer service!

I think it’s a bummer they make a lightweight hood ONLY with a non-functional addition. I mean I get the bling factor, but personally I’d want max weight savings for the price/hassle.

It's finished in carbon fiber like dash trim. A pure carbon fiber hood would be $10,000 or more. Still looks just as good if not better than OEM and other aftermarkets.

can a rep find out if seibon will be willing to produce JUST the scoop insert? im sure i could find 10 like-minded sport/pro owners that would rock out a carbon fiber hood insert if a group buy is required to get this ball rolling. i also like how the carbon fiber one is open, not like the stock one; in essence making it more "functional" lol. how sick would that be, your stock hood with the carbon fiber scoop insert. that, i can get behind.

@MESO was working on this a while back, but it fell by the wayside. Not sure if he just ran out of free time, or if it was not a viable product (cost more to make than people would spend).

Just follow the @MESO posts on that thread and avoid most of the other nonsense.

Whatever money it would cost to buy this hood would be better being spent elsewhere... in my opinion

Doesn't that logic apply to ALL truck mods? Hell, it probably applies to the purchase of the truck in the first place.

I had a carbon fiber hood on a civic si back in the day worst mistake ever . Over time it developed small little dents in the hood . From rocks hitting it and hard rain . And it was a Seibon brand . Your better off either plastic dip the oem hood or vinyl it .
