Well, did the rookie thing and forgot I left an open buy order for NRGU on my profile at Schwab, I put it in at 1.86 for a boatload of shares and just got the alert. Hopefully this is what Bob Ross refers to as a "Happy Accident"

not even kidding this view still haunts me and probably will forever. walking into the store and seeing everything wiped. Nightmare fuel.

 

I was on the phone with my brother the night they “cancelled” the nba season and I went straight to the grocery store and it was like a eerie feeling watching people buy out the shelves...I’ll probably almost remember that night similar to the 9/11 attacks... well if the second wave is happening I guess I can start reading again...anyone recommend a good options strategy book?

I dunno, I don't think it'll be the same. We know masks, we know more about it, it's not a fright as much. Probably will see food prices go up if we do see a spread and factories will have to close. Definitely stocking up on rice and beans now is good. Use any fitness calorie app to track "macros" and build some meals. Canned meats can be good. Go for a variety, when I was in QT for 2 weeks, after 2 weeks of pasta and canned pulled pork.....

Ramen is good, but spread it around. Rice is better than Ramen on a nutritional and budgetary scale.

Yup that was pretty lame. I had to go to Walmart in the middle of the night to get chocolate Lucky Charms and Reese's peanut butter cereal. I have no idea why people bought all of the cereals I like.

So wait why food shortages again?

 

Just curious how most of you started with stocks and investment in the first place. Was it mostly just Interest driven or career driven ? I been playing around on Robinhood just to get the general idea and learning some basics. Not spending Much expecting more of a learning experience than actual profit with the amount I’m spending. I was up 11% on one of my shares but it only lasted several days and droped back down to its average price.

 

Started out as a kid. My parents explained to me that you can make money without doing anything and the concept of always having your money work for you.
