So had my tech friend come look at my truck and confirmed the cat is fucked. Going to go full test pipe and delete the cats. gonna call some exhaust shops to see how much this is going to cost me.

I'm running OME with 881's. I've been fine but my uppers have 212k on them and the boots are torn to shreds. I rather not spend the $500 for aftermarket uppers if I can help it. I don't wheel enough to drop that coin. Maybe I just need to find someone who can press them out. I'm betting the bushings in the upper arm aren't that hot either but I can't tell.

Then do what I do and buy the oem joint and let a local tire shop replace it for you since it will need aligned anyways.

I paid $230 out the door for the labor on my lower ball joints and alignment at my favorite tire shop. Dealer and other specialty shops were too expensive.

You can rent a ball joint puller from Oriellys or auto zone for cheap, I assure you its really not that hard.

I pressed it in with the puller as well in reverse with the cup it comes with, no problems.

They really aren’t that bad to change either, specially if you aren’t using your own tools

Good to know. Should I try to change the bushings on the upper arms too or no? WHat numbers should I try to get with an alignment?

Sold the gold ARE shell today. It was really nice off a low mile garaged truck so I kind of wanted to hold on to it. But offsetting the cost of the Snugtop was the better decision. Now to take mine off and dremel my bedliner to fit the new one better.

Polar opposite, I want something close to stock with a little more growl. I am going to be running a test pipe.
