SCS BR6 wheels 16x8, 17x8.5, & 17x9

Thats a good looking truck. Those wheel are going to be great. If been debating between 16 and 17” BR6s and planning on 255s so I can hold of on the cmc I have the plates if it ends up needing it but just a pain to do anything lately.

 

Thanks. My ocd as an adult is real. The 3” Spacers I put on (for 2 weeks) made it not rub at all but when I replaced the upper control arms With JBA I still had a Slight rub. Which is why I opted to just get these rims. Since then I swapped 3” spacers up front for 2.5 Icon extended travel coilovers. And they sit a bit lower so there is too much rake in the rear now— also the rub is there again until cmc. I did disconnect the sway bar (rides super smooth) and need alignment. The rear blocks will be swapped for Icon 1.5”AAL which will help even it out. Might use 1/4” spacers to lift it .5” up front on top of the coilovers. I opted for 700lb springs so I can’t raise them with a spanner anymore.

@Devir7 i went with 16s because I wanted more tire than rim. But, the 17s you can get with -36mm offset. Meaning it’s like sunken into the hub more. That looks so dirty on 4runners I’ve seen too.

 

Can never write too much. I’ve got about 3” upfront with the Ironman Foam Cell pro and a full new leaf pack in the back. I’m keeping the oem UCA for not and hoping that 255/85/16s won’t rub or if they do it’s fender or mud flaps.

I remember having a 3” spacer on a 2nd gen and 285/75/16s and only rubbed full lock in reverse.

 

What, if any TPMS are a good choice for these? I’ve seen

I had the trd sport wheels and they just swapped the oem tpms to the scs br6 wheels

 

I LOVE the look. Seriously. My other two that were stuck in sorting made it here today. Getting them put on in the morning.

285 75 16 Thunderer Trac Grip MT - 600 for 4. They fit the stock rims so I'm swapping for now

 

Has anyone downsized from the 17” wheels to the 16” in these? Saw they had blemished 16” available to make a set. Very tempted

Looking good! Did you use the stock TPMS or go with another brand TPMS or regular stems?

got my BR6s mounted on the Thunderer Trac Grip MTs I had on my stock rims--- those are for sale too.
AAL arrived-- I'll be fixing the rake in a few days--

 

@SCSPerformance do you know of a spray paint color that matches or is close the matte dark bronze? I was thinking of changing the bolts to black Or painting them to match the finish, possibly the truck badges as well. Thanks!

 

Anyone know if the TRD Beadlock wheel center cap fits and/or fits well in these? Or if not, has anyone had luck with a different center cap that is flat and flush or close to it?
I know that the other SCS wheel center caps won’t fit this wheel, thanks to an email from SCS.

Nothing at all wrong with them. Just was looking at customizing a little. My current wheels have the Hylian Crest on the center cap. I was hoping to do the same with these, depending on how much effort it takes. If your familiar with the game, I also have a themed bed side decal.

 

so love the bronze.. gonna order a set of 17 bronze when i start my lift project
