Adventurous day in the county. Started with a drowning, then a plane crash. Of which neither one we got to go to. FFS.

Crop duster. No injuries, guy was flying it from FL to ND for someone. Owner apparently miscalculated it's fuel usage and the pilot put in a larger margin for safety. Well, the larger margin wasn't even enough for his next fuel stop. I'm guessing there wasn't a fuel gauge on board the aircraft. He ended up just breaking the landing gear on impact.

I have A few key phrases memorized for this job that gets probationers to do what I ask. Other than that I took like 6 years of French in school back in the day.
We use the language line from time to time if our Spanish, Portuguese and creole speaking coworkers aren’t here.

 

Je ne parle pas francais.
ca plane pour moi
mon chat est gros
parlez vous
je ne sais quoi

I don't know French. I took Spanish from 2nd grade until 11th or 12th grade.
Forgot most of it when the Army taught me a different language.
Been trying to get it back since Spanish is way more useful than what the Army taught me.
