I recently purchased a 2020 SR5 4X4 and just swapped out the stock tires. I noticed it came with 4 Firestones on the corners and one Hankook under the bed. Is that normal? Anybody else find 2 different brands of tires on the truck?

Strange but very possible if it's a different (steel) wheel than the rest. Same as having a donut, think of it that way.

If you have two different brands on the 4 matching wheels, that's an annoying issue for you, a HUGE issue for toyota. If so, make that phone call immediately. (To be clear, that would be passenger side one kind, driver side another or way less likely front/rear.)

Forgot to mention the spare wheel is steel. Is that an option to get all 5 the same wheel and tire?

Not all same wheel because they don't care about 5 tire rotations.

But if it's the same size tire, I'm still surprised it would be a different brand. Not that any of those tires are special. They are only worth something to someone who needs a deal on them for an in town work vehicle.

BTW, you should edit your original post to remove the subtle 'for sale', as it violates the well managed BST rules.

I think only the SR, Off Road, and Pro are the only ones with matching spare tire, all have steel spare wheel with no TPMS.

Sport also comes with a matching spare tire. I would assume most full size spares are the same tire, but i guess there could be exceptions.

Usually I see the Sport with a mismatched one, however I am sure some still go through with a match.

Fairly certain my sport came with a steely for a spare, or are we talking strictly the rubber?

I think the SR5, Sport, and Limited all share the same spare making it luck of the draw on which tire brand ends up under there.

Toyota rarely cares about matching the spare to the rest of the vehicle, whether that's a different type of wheel, different type of tire, or different size (e.g. temporary, or 18" spare for vehicle with 20" running gear, etc.).

Sorry, looks like somebody edited my original post, thank you.
They were the same size tire at least.
My luck lately with the tires Toyota uses has not been good. My 2018 Taco had a defective tire and took months of complaining to the dealer, even though I could duplicate the problem. They did finally swap out the tire.
I do the 5 tire rotation on my other truck and was expecting the 2020 to be the same. I guess I should look under the next truck before buying.
I callled my salesman and he said that was normal.
I get alot of "normal" answers lately which is why the 2018 is gone.

On the spare it should say something like "for temporary use only", so they never intended it to be used for a 5 tire rotation, nor care what brand it is as it was not meant to be used long term. i've had to use mine and it only stays on for a couple days at most. Only other thing to do is change it out for what you're putting on aftermarket or find a non-spare stock combo for a 5 tire rotation

At least you got some Toyos. Firestone Destination LE2's are garbage on a 4X4.
