Just bought a bungee net to go in the top of my Smittybilt RTT. Anybody else have one in the roof for extra space inside? If so does it seem to work decent?

Just went with a cheap one off the zon. Just need it to throw my phone, gun, flashlight, extra blankets etc over top so i know where stuff is while inside rather than just sitting it beside me when i sleep.

Finally got to use the RTT. Absolutely love it! I have no real complaints. The weather was cold, high 20's was as low as it got, but I managed to sleep OK with enough layers. I left 2 sleeping bags in the tent while folding it and it seemed to work OK. Anything more than that and it stressed the straps a bit much for my liking. It's the only one I've ever owned, so I can't compare to anything else, but I am happy with the purchase.

so I guess you didnt get the roof rack?

I really want my next tent to have a roof rack. Not sure whether its going to be the CVT hardshell or something else. I dont really like the iKamper/Desert Armor style ones. I dont have to deal with poles now, and dont want to in the future.

This is my friends 4runner. But I still think my automatic opening one is cooler

did not, its my understanding they're backordered anyway. My attempt initially was to go slim and that adds to thickness.

I really like the CVT MT Hood but its 1" shorter and i need all the space i can get being giant.

I too wanted something hardshell, no stupid window rods.

My only concerns without seeing it in person is the 1" mattress but theres easy solutions to that.

Starting my trailer build this weekend for the rtt since I don’t have my truck anymore. Doing a 4x6 with 33’s to match the 4Runner. Anyone have any suggestions. We’ve spent the last several weeks planning and have come up with a solid plan for it. But still open for suggestions.
