Hey all, its been awhile since ive been on.

Back at college in Ohio and started planning a cross country drive with the furthermost point(s) of the drive being Yellowstone & Glacier National Parks. I have pretty much the whole 13 day trip planned out, and heading out on October 4.

Looking to get a dual battery setup for camping w/ a solar panel on the roof connected to the battery that powers my accessories & lights and such.

Does anyone have any easy recommendations that I could get on my truck in the next 2 weeks?

I can't link to it because he was banned for some BS. But Off Grid Engineering makes great kits. Doubt you'll get it within 2 weeks though.

Another option that would be much quicker would be SDHQ.

I would also point out that you are pushing your visit to glacier to about the latest part of the year that the Going to the Sun road is usually open. Always a legit chance of it closing by then due to snow.

Are you comfortable doing all of the electrical involved in moving things around? Like Dave said, your timeframe is a bit tight to get this squared away.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I'm actually going to purchase either a stihl 261 or equivalent one of these days.

I know absolutely nothing about new saws, but have a shit load of down trees/ trees I need to cut down on my property. Some of them are monsters, so something with a 20 inch bar would be better than 18.

What do you think? Price range is 600-1k (dont reallly want to spend 1k but will if it makes sense)

I've never seen a bear in a Walmart. I'm sure it has happened somewhere... maybe I should start?

They say it usually closes around October 15, but you never know.

Yes, I am but I may just not do the dual battery setup. Was just looking into possibilities but my time frame is too tight for that.

SO I ran a solar panel on an upgraded single battery for 2 years with a fridge no issue.

Just stumbled over this box in the garage. I have an entire CB setup. Radio, antenna with spring and quick disconnect, Rago antenna mount (3rd gen), and cable. The radio is the
Uniden CMX760. Antenna isn't Firestick, but I have one I can throw in that I literally just found in my basement. I like the antenna that's there because it's supposedly pre-tuned and you don't have to jerk with it. If anyone's interested? $100? If not, I can throw in the ol' BST.

Let me see what interest is. I'd be willing to if someone wants it without it.

Yeah. If you're willing to come to Manassas (I'm in between 66 and 95 on 234), I'd be more than happy to do it.
