They're taller than I expected, 31.5" seat height, Grom is 30". Not a huge difference but still.

A Grom is $400 less ($3499), somehow the Monkey is $100 more?? ($3999), I'm surprised the trail isn't the same or higher than the monkey.

vintage retro tax on the monkey for sure... I was thrilled when I had seen it was coming back but then the price was a hard no for me... rather an older used one at that point

    the trail is tempting though

This is my wild dream, but I want to see someone show up to a hard enduro on an old Trail 90 or 110 and just smoke everybody. Throw it in low gear and just crawl up every hill, freaking just pick it up and carry it over an obstacle, I think it'd be hilarious.

I think you have it backwards. Everybody would smoke the 90 or 110. Tortious doesn’t win in those races.

Thanks for the feedback. I prefer something that is set up and ready to go from the factory. I'm going to take her to the dealer and have her sit on both to see which one she feels more comfortable on.

Haven't you been looking for a while? What's the hold up? Maybe you are like me in that you are concerned she won't end up riding once you buy her a bike. If I had a nickel for every hobby of mine that my wife "thought" she wanted to partake in, I'd have enough to to... well... buy a KLX140.

Haven’t found a great deal on one yet. Looking to spend around $1000-1500. Oh and doing things with the house costs money.

I haven't seen to many KLX140's in that price range. Most that are in decent condition are $2k and above. Though, I suspect we'll see a dip in the market once we get past the fall riding season.

Yeah, I have seen some for $1700. I am in no hurry. She won’t be riding it anytime soon since we have a 9month old.

Man no imagination haha sure, in the open areas it'd get smoked butttt picture this with a 90 putting through in low range first gear. Thing will climb a tree, it'd have no problem ;)

No way a 90 gets up that. Only way to get up that is speed and power.

Is there a Costco with a hearing clinic nearby? I had custom molded earplugs made for about 50 bucks. You can get solid plugs for maximum noise blocking, or filtered that block about 25db.

Or go to a gun show. They almost always have those custom made plugs there too. Thought about getting a pair on Friday but bought other things instead

good to know if these don’t work out. I tried @Sacrifice recommended method for foamies and still had issues.

I never can seem to get a consistent plug with the foamy plugs either so don’t feel too bad. I’m eager to get your review on those new plugs you ordered though
