Check engine po500

My 2016 has been throwing an intermittant check engine and trac off light. This is a speed sensor issue. If your speedo works the speed sensors work. Sensors send signal to gauge cluster. Gauge cluster talks to computer. So a po500 code is a problem with eithor the gauge cluster or the computer or the wiring inbetween. In my case it was the gauge cluster. I have extended platium warrenty so it was covered. 5 days of loaner car, gauge cluster, labor. The part costs 570.40 and labor came to 51.43 so its a serious expense. The light on doesnt effect driveability but it does shut off traction control so its mainly a rain and snow issue.
This issue on my truck would come on and off at will, mostly first start or within a mile in the morning. Sometimes every other month or week or in a day. Very random light has to be on when you go to the dealer or they cant do anything.
