I finally settled down ok

 

Yeah my back hates that tent. It’s just not good by any means.

 

Care to expand on how? I've enjoyed it quite a bit so far, and I've had CVT and FSR tents in the past to compare to

 

Mine was poorly built. The tube for the overhang part was bent out of the box, so I bent it back into place. The stitching for the window is pretty poor and the screens don't open. The tent isn't waterproof (or mine wasn't) in any type of windy rain. The mattress just plain sucked for me and I had back pain every night in there, but I'm also a side sleeper. The tent cover ripped on the first tree branch and it was hard to put on.

I just wasn't a big fan of it. I would rather have a smittybilt for the price. Maybe they upped their QC control b/c it was nonexistent when I had mine.

Nice job!! Looks very well done. Do you have pictures ofthe the inside and closed? What areyou the dimensions?

Currently working on a new travel cover, the one in the above pic was made from the bottom of then tent I cut up and it shredded fairly quickly.

Folded it is 4'x4'x9", open it is roughly 4'x8'x4'.

 

if its similar size to other tents on the market.. Im sure you could find a Smittybuilt cover for cheap

 

It is pretty dead on the size of other tents. I ended up purchasing some rubber coated fabric on eBay for about $35 and am working on sewing it as we speak. If all goes well I'll have a nice cover in a few weeks.

 

Na it’s not for sale, not sure where you saw it. I entertained selling my whole truck, never posted it though.

 

Maybe you got an early one because mine has none of those problems, except I haven’t camped in rain

Maybe! I had it a years back.

I did post it on my story for an outrageous price and someone wanted to pay it. Too bad the Tundra sold.

If it was a ridiculous price someone wanted to pay I wouldn’t sold it and bought another lol

 

If I could get another Vagabond I’d do it but they’re so backed up. Pretty sure the wait times are 15-18 months now. No bueno

 

Thats why ive decided not to get one. Plus a cross country trip

 

Can’t blame you man. There are used GFC’s everywhere though!
