I have found my sr5 to be extremely capable but it definitely has it well spots mostly deep mud holes and once got hung up on my rear diff . Looking to fix these situations I have a winch and that works great still would like to get through with out having truck submerged for long . So in a perfect world I’d get arb locker front and rear re hear and get 33s or 35 haha but the costs in Involved in all that are just to much for all at once need some suggestions

    So I have 265 75 16 Yokohama geolander mt
A majority of my wheeling is solo or with another open open truck but when I go with my other group it’s usually fully locked trucks . I do manage to get through I’m careful pick my lines carefully etc

I found it takes a lot of speed to keep up with double locked trucks. It sounds like you have to decide on gears and one or two lockers.

I had a similar dilemma and ended up trading in the SR5 for and OR.

Cheaper to do it all at once vs separately, unless you know how to setup gears.

If you have an auto I’d slap on lockers and 33s and call it a day.

Rear locker will improve it that much more. Obviously double locked would be more capable.

Tires can also improve your capability offroad even without lockers.

Just go all out and get tires, lockers and gears. You’ll be good!

I like to learn from failures so I think back to the last 4 times I could t get past a obstacle with out winching this was all in one day. One was a 20 foot rock ledge real steep I made it almost all the way up lost traction at the end stopped and some one through me a strap Pulled me last few feet I could of tried again with what I consider rechless amount of speed and probably made it bother two times deep mud either I need more clearance or better line or lockers and last time just came down off a rock and just barely hung up on my diff slowly
