hopefully some new tuning comes through and some support mods to the kit bring it around a bit...

What I don't understand about Toyota is, there wasn't really any pressure to produce back in 2015-16 was there? They were top dog back then no? I'm a Toyota newb.

I think many were calling for updates... but mostly interior and tech.

However, 10 years is a long time to stick with a body style, unless you're Nissan.

You could probably look into getting the fuel upgrades that OVTune uses for the TT kit and then take the truck to a shop with a dyno to custom tune you, and use 2.0 as a baseline to work off of so that you retain some of Mat's hard work and some of those benefits

That's with gear lock in 6th right?
Now, what is your impression about what your truck without the SC would have done there? Would you have even been able to build speed staying in 6th?

Sorry, I meant dick about the FI on the 3rd. As far as Stock tuning on AT I think Toyota was forced by CAFE to keep up, so they threw a new engine and trans to stay current then retooled some molds and left the software guys in charge of drivability to fend for themselves. Again, all prefaced (because we live in that era) by an idiot on the internet with an opinion.

which means he's running 4.3 gears in the rear so I'm wondering how the ATs may look with the basic install. :ballchain:

If you get a chance could you do another video rolling at 60 and downshifting to like 4th to get up to 80? Still kind of disappointing from your most recent video but if I need to get up and go to pass someone I don't ever stay in 6th.

Also I know for a fact that @Bascoma isn't an influencer because of the way he ended that video: "...alrightbye." I lost my shit there.

You sure the kits is installed 100% correct. Something seems off, that 60-80 was so weak.
