I’m on my first one too. They are very addictive though.

Does it come already appropriately sized to the window? No need to trim edges?

For example, when I buy the cheap white vinyl decals on Amazon, they usually do a shitty job of cutting straight lines, so I have to use the straight paper cutter in the office to straighten the cut so I don't butcher level when I apply it. I only ask because that tool is close to $50+ at office depot, and my company is WFH till at least next year, lol

I’m not good at this, but I’d guess the politically correct terminology would be an F-1

I’m sorry, it’s late, I’m tired, and I’m still working on a plug and play harness for a kicker powered sub.

Pulled the plug on bed matt . Funny thing, I was so against it. Didn’t see use for it when I had my 13 Sport. With everyone’s post and speaking highly of these, I picked one up from local dealer . These things actually work- go figure haha.

OK. The Prinsu Rack project has begun...
    TOYOTA-TACOMA-DOUBLE-CAB-1995-2004-400x400.jpg

Because I *always* have to do everything the HARD way... I pulled the weather stripping, measured where I would cut away the metal ridge and rubber underneath and then I used I mounted the black mounting stems and got an exact fit and then hand cut the rubber and sanded it so it carefully fit the mounting stems.

    Front mounting bolt with stem...
    Left_Front.jpg

    Middle mounting bolt and stem...
    Left_Middle.jpg

    Rear mounting bolt and stem...
    Left_Rear.jpg

I'm going to change out the chrome bolts with black anodized ones tomorrow. I want everything to be black. Not sure why they sent me half of the mounting hardware in black and some of it galvanized. Easy to fix - just weird.
Also - no instructions with my Pinshu cab rack. I'm sure I could probably download them but I really don't need it. Lots of Youtube videos out there.

I found it funny watching some of these Youtube videos - and some of the mistakes they ran into. One used a sawzall to cut the rubber strip and mangled the hell out of it and then I saw another use a spade bit to cut the hole - which mangled the strip as well. Then I saw one use a hole saw on the strip. My god...

I saw how they pulled the strip off the bottom to find the holes and I kept thinking, why not just use a small exacto knife and just carefully cut where the mounting bolt hole is. So - that's what I did. Worked great!
Then - I used a plastic peg in the hole to keep the spacer stem in place and then measure my cut on the backside of the weather stripping.

On the weather strip, I made a general mark to allow for final deviations in the location of the mounting stem, then flipped them over and line sighted to place them and marked it on the side with a sharpie.
The metal ridge was easy. I used a hacksaw blade on either side of the initial cut and carefully cut it. Its not very big (maybe 1/8") and it cuts easy enough. Then I used a utility knife to cut the ridge off flat.
    IMG_6668.jpg

Then use a small utility blade to cut the circle on the top and then sand it nice and round (See up top).
The rubber sands easy enough and it smooths out nicely - I would periodically test for fitting and keep sanding until it just pops in there. I wanted snug but not too tight.

Good night all! I’m exhausted and heading to bed. But I did finish making a plug and play harness for the kicker powered sub:

I just went through this myself. I do have one bit of advice for people looking to do this if they’re wanting to drill through the molding. Every review and video that I saw recommended a spade bit to drill through. I had a much better results from a Forstner bit. I tried both ways and the spade bit left jagged edges. The Forstner bit made a smooth hole and was easy to control the depth. You still have to cut the metal out on the backside though

Good instructions and don't even have a Prinsu rack to install.
Has anyone used this type of drill bit before. I like them for drilling plastic especially.
