    I think we will still do all the packing up of dishes etc, but since we are closing on both houses on the same day, I don't really see a way around hiring movers.

    See if you can get an early occupancy addendum. We just went through this paperwork. will be giving it up 2 days prior to closing, so they can move their shit. Some insurance hoops to jump through, but no big deal. We have to convert to landlord policy for those 2 days, they have to get a renters policy for those 2 days.
