Unless it’s a bad flu season, they likely won’t separate them. They’ll just take the 10 yr flu avg and deduct that from total deaths and the rest will be counted as covid

 

Yea, I'm a safety manager for 2 1.9million sq ft distribution centers with 1k people in each, not looking forward to flu season and managing through that mess.

I'm not saying I believe all the scare. But I can assure you in the 12 years I've worked in two of the biggest hospitals (in neuro icus as a bedside nurse) in the country, when I call in a death it is the absolute reason they are admitted and never a complication. I.e brain hemorrhage vs the myriad of complications that come with that.

 

yea but you dont get admitted for covid you get admitted for other stuff dont you?

 

Yes, but we get people unresponsive off the street so we test everybody... And if they come back positive and die, it's because of their admission reason. (Brain issue)

Well I bought 20 shares so I should be fine lol. I don’t have a lot of room for risk in my portfolio, but I gotta warn you, if you watch that video you might buy some shares too!

 

Imagine 20 shares of AAPL 20+ years ago. With all the splits and reinvested dividends, you'd probably have thousands of shares by now. Then, imagine 20 shares of pets.com which would be at zero. You just never know.

Was in Texas in July. Pretty much all the cities. Dallas, Ft Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston. Didn't hit south/west, if/when we move down there, El Paso will be stop number 1 for visits. It wasn't that bad, but then again, I went when there was no public school or colleges running.

That's also on my list. Once we move, or sooner than that. It's like me and Boston though. I lived 30 minutes from Boston when it wasn't commuting time, now we have trains and we're still only 30 minutes from Boston, just south instead of north, and I still never go.

Back then I'm sure people would have said "Pfffft you're buying APPLE!? They make this thing called a POOTER!? Kids will ALWAYS want toys. You're an idiot for investing in APPLE instead of TOYS R US!" There are so many things that can happen. And with the way things are going nowadays, your companies value can be completely destroyed with no input from your own.

(NOTE: I only looked at the headline, I googled to find that article, I have no idea how it is/isn't. But I do know the story behind it).

That's why I don't invest in social media platforms of any kind. Snapchat, Facebook, etc are one tweet away from a socialite from losing 5% of my portfolio overnight.
