Eh if you don't oversee anyone, then you're not doing anything wrong at all.

I try to value all of my sales people; number one and two reasons why someone quits is because they feel undervalued/unappreciated or have an issue with their direct manager.

I've got a good group of sales people that work hard and I let them know I recognize it.

It's cool you've found good guys and recognize it. I've seen good guys go walking cause their dealer doesn't recognize their value and I've seen guys that couldn't sell water in a desert that are rewarded.

The reality is, a sales manager or finance manager needs to recognize those that work hard.

Its the sales staff that make the store the money; without them who would tend to the customers.

As a manager, we need to ensure their success.

@CS_AR recommended a pretty good book on leadership as well

You know as well as I do that those types are rare in the car business though. It's a big ego, big talk business and the higher ups are often the worst about it. Employees are there to insure the managers success at most dealerships. There are good ones out there, but it's rarer than hens teeth.

yeah I agree, and my supervisor/boss at work usually do a good job of that too. Usually, lol.

The company owner can be a dick if you're on his bad side (old school Russian immigrant/millionaire) he breaks HR protocol all the time if he's upset about something lol. But he and I have gotten along pretty well for the last several years. He gave me a substantial raise and put me on executive salary (instead of hourly) when he learned my wife and I were expecting. My supervisor told me I'm the only non-executive employee he's ever given a raise to directly.

Which was cool because the hoops I had to jump through for raises in the past took way more time and BS to sort through.

I'm drugged up on muscle relaxers.

The pain overall is a hair less than yesterday, but I do have slightly more articulation than I did yesterday.

Still, my nerve is pinched and with certain movements, my lower back flares up with pain instantly and goes away almost as quickly as it comes.

Waiting to find out when my appointment is as my doctor called for physical therapy.

    Per Sean's recommendation, I ordered this -

    https://teeter.com/product/fitspine-lx9-freestep-bundle/

On Amazon it's a lot less though

Yeah I remember that, that's freaking awesome.

Our owner is pretty chill; everyone in the community knows him as he's sponsored schools, etc around here...plus he was born and raised here.

Ours laughed and said no when the company proposed he send his clothing that doesn't sell to homeless shelters, because he was afraid it would ruin his image to have poor people wearing his designs. If that tells you anything, lol.

To be fair, it was mod money for the 4R but it needs nothing at this point lol

Hell all I can do is stare at my uninstalled stuff; only difference between @what road and I is that, I'd install it asap if I didn't have sciatica. Idk what his excuse is :boink:
