    You know what man, I feel a ton better after my fusion. Minus the still being numb in the fingers... But they said it could take a year+ for those nerves to grow back after being pinched so long.

    I don't think CVT has a lot of options here unless they're serialized or something...

    In fact he might be breaking California consumer privacy laws already with the customer name.

    Some San Jose local with a modded blue FJ cruiser brought one of the expensive $1k+ awnings from CVT. The buyer then claims to have refused delivery from Fedex due to damage and requested his money back.

    CVT refunded and then drove down to SJ from Bend Oregon to pick up the awning from Fedex (not sure why he did this?). He realized it was light and opened the box to find one of their cheap CVT awnings inside.

    Went to the dude's house and saw that he had the expensive awning mounted on his FJ.

    I think that's about it, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

    Seems like a good warning though, don't fuck with CVT lol.

    CVT had a video posted on IG earlier. They had sold a nearly $1700 awning to someone in San Jose. Buyer claimed the package arrived at FEDEX in a badly damaged box without the awning then demanded a refund and was going to take his biz elsewhere. Box was returned to CVT with and old CVT awning and not tue one that was in the box. CVT drove down from Bend OR to San Jose and to to the address that the purchaser put as their shipping address. The owning CVT had sold the person was installed on their vehicle. CVT had already refunded the cost of the awning.

    The purchaser also changed their email, cancelled their CC, changed their phone number, blocked CVT on IG and went out recently and posted pics of the new awning on social media.

    Looks like CVT contacted the SJPD and was able to get it resolved

    CVT took the video down after the person paid for it.

    I believe this was the awning in question and according to the orig video by CVT only three resellers in the US offer it.

    I got a chuckle out of Bobby sitting in the street behind the persons house as the suns rising explaining the situation and asking IG what he should do. Bobby has the old box and cvt awning that they received back is sitting in the bed of the Jeep.

    I would like to think no one is that type but people always surprise us (not directed at you).

    We have had a fair share of scammers on TW, good thing is this rag tag group is pretty established and trusted by each other. Anyone in this thread pulled some shady shit like this and there wouldn’t be a safe place left for them anywhere (not a threat, I figured you’d all handle them appropriately)

    For all you patch boiz out there, I took my first crack at making a patch for a logo that I designed. The logo’s for my Instagram page where we feature people’s cool trucks (super original, I know), but it’s been a fun side project. The patches themselves are 4x3.25” and have a full hook and loop (Velcro) backing for ultimate overland points.
