Can You Convert Auto to MT?

Where did you get those numbers? Did you just make them up? I’m almost done and have less than $2k into before selling some off the take off parts.

That is exactly it. But then, some folks have taken a sawzall at the sheet metal and suspension pretty damn hard. 37s, four link or Chevy 63in rear, etc.

I think the packs are doing way better than I would have expected, but like you said, initial expenses and extra systems are just not my thing. I love the hell out of skateboard EV chasses. My kind of simplicity.

 

I did this on a 1991 Camaro. Computer didn't even know what transmission was in there, it was only concerned with the engine. I would never attempt it on a Tacoma. Different beast. Much better to just get the truck you want.

 

I’ve been doing the manual swap on my truck by myself in my driveway (I live in a townhouse so I’m sure my neighbors love me now). These trucks are so damn basic aside from the basic computer which is a straight plug and play swap.

It’s super easy all you have to do is drive your current one to a local dealer trade it in and boom you got a manual transmission. Easiest mod ever .

 

That star better be gold.
