yeah i saw that also, i guess ill be looking at a different state or country.

im just wondering what kind of bill they will create to retain the gas taxes and road tax. oh wait and also the high registration fees that they require... hmmm

That's an interesting question about the gas stations - IF (big) they pull it off, I think it's more of a question for the post-2035 gas-station economy here. Until then, plenty of old ICE cars that will be around for the following 20+ years that will need gas. But eventually the demand will wain...in theory.

They'll find a way to bilk us for the road tax too.

My question is what about all the apartment dwellers that will need charging? All apartment buildings will NEED car charging.

I love this state, but man...lotta big IFs on how, when, ever this idea plays out.

Other countries are doing it sooner and some are pretty damn close as it is. Already tax breaks for electric cars as well as other incentives. I'm sure this will get into a "what do you mean taxes" debate, so i'll just leave it at that

That's wise, but retrofitting older apt complexes for mass charging would be a challenge. I suppose a lot can be subsidized or something or other.

Looking forward to that Gen-5 electric Toyota truck...

Our annual rolling energy blackouts are about to go from every summer to year round

They'll need to keep gas stations going so we can fill up our generators
