Thanks. It’s been a bit of a pain in the dick doing it on the ground in my driveway with no help. This is the third time putting the transmission into place alone. Making a transmission jack from extra bunk bed slats definitely helped.

Thanks. It’s hard to brag about a 4WD DCSB with a weak ass 4 cylinder.

To me, that's the coolest part. I loved the 4cyl Tacoma i had it just wouldn't do what I needed it to

I dig that it’s a 4cyl. It’s kinda old school in a way. But it’s embarrassing as shit to get passed by fully load 18 wheelers on some hills.

Have you added the LCE header yet? I did that on that truck and it made a good difference in the lower end. The automatic was what killed that truck trying to tow. Footer had made some nice intake spacers also idk if he’s still around or not

I haven’t, but it’s on the list. I’ve seen the intake spacer too.

I think the manual will help a lot. 5th gear will be like have 5.29’s now. 1st and 2nd are crazy low and I’ll have another gearing option in the middle for bigger hills.

Well you've done the 5mt swap and the 4wd conversion maybe a V8 conversion

I’ve swap the transmission twice in the truck (once to get 4wd and once to manual). Idk what v8 bolts up to the R-series transmission, but I really don’t want to swap the transmission again.

If anything, I’d probably add a supercharger before I do a V8 swap. But I need to find an extra $5k. Since extra money isn’t really a thing, it will probably never happen.

I would of been dead wrong if someone asked me if the 4 door came with the 4 cylinder. I'm going to assume that's only a 2wd drive thing?
