    it’s doing the same thing in the truck. Double checked the wires. Power supply is good. It’s 12.1-12.2 the entire time it flashes.

    Any possibility you are using Windows Vista or 7 with some old USB3.0 port?

    Usually it's not possible to fail like this in recovery mode.

    Try a stock file.

    Might be time to open the ECU and verify it isn't corroded inside. Some trucks have leaky / corroded capacitors. Mostly 2016s from what we have seen.

    As far as I understand it there is no right or wrong answer to when the tc locks or unlocks. You deliver more torque to the wheels when unlocked due to the torque multiplication effect at the expense of lost energy due to heat generation by fluid shear. When locked, you lose torque multiplication but save fuel by delivering torque more efficiently because you are not generating waste heat. Generally you want the tc unlocked at lower rpms where the engine is making less torque. Where you lock up will be a function of how you want to optimize torque multiplication vs efficiency, and perhaps your trans cooler’s cooling ability at the extreme.

    I’m not an expert but thats how I understand it.

    I decided to start playing with those today. Seems like changing "gear 5" and "gear 6" are the normal driving maps. I think gear 1-4 are for a cold engine - I noticed for the first few miles the TC lock/unlock behavior is different.

    Long story short. I changed my 2 and 3rd gear unlock points so the TC stays unlocked at lower speeds and it improved neighborhood driving speed smoothness. Could pull in 3rd slipping the TC w/o needing a downshift to 2nd.

    By chance did you confirm this by logging or with the butt dyno? Only reason I ask is because I've been logging for weeks and yet to see my TC lock in gears 1-3. Maybe I'm running a different tune or something?

    Yup I've been using techstream. I cant get the OVTune loggers to monitor as much as what techstream can do.

    Butt dyno. I have another errand to run tomorrow so I'll see if I can figure out logging. I do pay attention to revs fluctuations associated with each shift and if I think the TC unlocks I do modulate the gas a bit to see if the revs rise independent of speed w/o a downshift which is more noticeable.
