    Hi All,
I have a 2016 Sport w/dual zone AC. I noticed today that the drivers side air vents are barely cool enough to keep the driver comfortable. The passenger side is blowing room temperature air. I tried it with both the Auto AC engaged/disengaged, both sides synced and not synced and both recirc/fresh air. Adjusted both sides temps to low and its the same thing. When I turn the temp up, it gets hot. Has anyone else had this happen to them on a Dual AC system? My truck is over 4 years old with 29000 miles, but doesn't have factory warranty anymore. I am thinking of taking it to the dealer but wanted to be sure I did everything I could to troubleshoot before I go the dealer route.
    Thanks!

Take it to the dealer. I have seen some issues and they add a fan or something

Crap! I could have sworn I posted in the 3rd Gen Section, not marketplace.

Maybe a mod can move it for me. @Daria Thanks.

Check the pressure from the low port. The lines should condensate. If not, possibly needs a charge? Just happened on my 13’ 4R.

    this is what I used.

something must be wrong because my AC will freeze you out and the heat will do the exact opposite. i would try the freon in a can before going to the dealer. you might find the leak

Does this only happen when you are not moving very fast, or stopped?

Sorry Op, didn’t realize ac pro doesn’t make 1234yf which is what you’ll need. Same concept though, check low port, if it’s under, recharge with 1234yf. Probably the cheapest route first, although 1234yf isn’t cheap haha

Thanks. I will probably bring it in to the dealer. I wanted to do the basic stuff before going the dealer route. I dont want to make it worse by messing around with something I am not comfortable doing.

It will need Freon if there is leak. Freon doesn't dissipate.

So I got to drive a little farther yesterday. At freeway speeds (60-65mph), the air blows fairly cool on both sides, pass side still warmer. At highway speeds (35-45mph), it gets a little warmer but tolerable. At idle parked or stopped at the light, it barely blows cool air. It also sounds like my truck has the Corona virus. Behind the dash area, Its like its gasping for air at a stop. When i start moving, it gets quieter. Sounds like its pointing to low refrigerant.

:(So it wasn’t something I could find even if i tried. The Refrigerant was low because of a leak in the Evaporator Core. Here is what my truck looks like. :annoyed:

I just hope Humpty Dumpty gets put back together again with everything working and no new rattles!:(
