Spent a week painting my fender flares black and got replacement rubber trim only to find it’s not even close to original.

    Trim-Lok Fender Flare Edge Trim –... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CJRGX3O?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

    don’t buy this crap

Also discovered every single clip mount on my fenders were cracked. The wrong trim didn’t help either since it’s a lot thicker. So in a rage I destroyed my weeks worth of painting and fender flares. Guess I need replacement fender flares. So glad I put so much work into them. Stupid weak ass clips and crappy Amazon trim and clips. So fucking pissed

Swapped all 80 stainless steel bolts out in favor of black hardware for Ray10 wheels. Took about 20min.

I thought you were decided. I was looking for ones that you could disconnect but not sure on which brand is better.
My truck is on road 90% of the time so I'd like to leave the sway bar in.

The bigger bracket is part of the evap pump, you can spend a little more and get a complete charcoal canister (which I did). The smaller bracket is part of the rear axle ABS wires and not available separately.

Awesome, thanks! The smaller piece is only surface rust, so not too worried about that.

How much for all those bolts? My old Method wheels had 96 altogether, but replacing the bolts would have been a bit costly.

When I did my flares, I searched on Amazon by the actual part number and got the correct clips and edge trim at half the price. If you look at my restoration page, I show you how to repair the clip holders on the flares.

I saw that for repairing the incredibly weak clip mounts.

I think at this point I’m going to just run without fenders and eventually get bushwacker fenders

That's pretty cheap. I was looking for 96 stainless to replace the originals, but I guess I wasn't looking in the right place.

You can see the bracket here (I haven't had time to put it in).
The whole canister was like $30 more so it was a no brainer.

@Havok - Gotcha! How long do they tend to last? I'm running waaay over budget (surprise, right?), so need to penny pinch for a month (or two)...

    Nice work mat, btw!

The app i use to calculate mileage tells me i'm getting 18-19 mpg..... lies or truth? I'm on 285s with heavy front and rear bumpers, and i'm not a slow driver.

Wired in and mounted my smittybilt compressor on the truck. Beats having to carry around the bag and setting it up on the ground. I was able to use the stock rubber pads it came with and all of the hardware. I added some washers prior to where the lock nuts hit the sheet metal for added security.
